Chapter Three

Lucca

How can such a simple planned out day end up in mayhem?

Steff reported to me about the people that rammed us in the side. The driver of the car died due to me shooting him and the passenger is in the FBI's custody. I haven't made an attempt to see what's on the phone I retrieved from them because I know once I call whoever has been giving them orders, I'll be on the next flight to personally kill them.

I've been sitting in my own hospital room since we've arrived. Much to my dismay, they took Isabella into one direction and me in another. They were trying to perform surgery on me, but I simply pulled the bullet out with my own fingers. After they were done gaping at me, they finally decided to clean the wound to avoid infections. The only reason I'm still in this room is because the doctor wants to do one more once over before discharging me.

On top of all of that, nobody has informed me about Isabella. Every time I ask a nurse, they claim that they don't have any information to tell me.

It's bullshit.

I've been sitting in this plain room for a little over two hours and I'm sick of it. I grab my bloody shirt off of the bed and I think for a second before I throw it in the trash. I don't think it'll be a smart choice for to walk around the hospital with a bloody shirt on.

I throw the door open right when I walk into the hallway, I hear a familiar voice yelling.

"Where the fuck is my sister?" I hear him scream.

My eyes widen before I dash to the front desk of the floor. I come to a halt once I see my entire family standing before me. That not only includes my brother, but there's my parents, Isabella's mom, Madison, Carson, Gabi, and Aiden.

Carson was about to say something else before I interrupt him. "Ma'am," I approach the terrified looking lady. Her face is a ghostly pale and her eyes are wide in fear. "I need you tell me where my wife is. I know you're trying to do your job, but we're her family."

Her eyes scan the group behind me before nodding her head slowly. To my relief, I see her typing a few things into the computer. She scribbles something down on a piece of paper hastily before shoving it my direction. I smile at her gratefully before glancing down at the piece of paper.

The sixth floor.

I waste not time and make a beeline to the elevator. I hear multiple footsteps behind me, but I pay the no mind. I need to see my wife.

The elevator doors finally slide open and we all pile in. I press the button for the sixth floor and the doors close. I lean my head back against the wall and close my eyes. I try to take a few calming breaths, but they're not working.

I hear some clear their throat and my eye flash open. Everyone is staring at me.

"So... Are we not going to talk about it?" Carson mutters as a tear slips down his face.

I look at him apologetically before stepping off of the elevator. I ignore the curious looks I'm getting and march to what's suppose to be the room my wife is in. For whatever strange reason, her bed is empty.

My anger sparks as I exit the room and approach my family sitting in the waiting room. Out of corner of my eye, I see Robert walking towards me with what I'm assuming is coffee. His attention is solely on his phone that he's tapping away.

I clear my throat and his face is full of surprise when his eyes my mine that're burning with rage.
