Izzy's POV:
The wind hit my hair, forcing it to go over my face, right before I was going to jump in. I hated the feeling of jumping into the water, coldness sparking over your body, but then after 5 minutes you get used to it.
"Come onnn!" Evan yelled from the pool, trying to splash me, as I stood on the diving board, holding my hands over my chest. No one was around, to tell her to hurry up, because the weather wasn't entirely pleasant, but not too cold.
I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, then jumped. The water hit my face, pulling my hair up, and the coldness, oh my lord was it cold, chilling my body. But in the end it felt nice.
"Good job, now, we can finally swim!" Evan teased me, I rolled my eyes.
Imagine this, splashing each other, laughing, smiling, just having fun, when no one was around, that's what happened, and that was our friendship.
I never wanted anything to change that.
"Crap!" I felt the cut on my face in an instant, blood trickling in the water. Someone had a beer in this pool, and forgot to clean it out.
"Oh god, Izzy are you ok." Evan raced out of the water with me, a towel already in his hand to comfort me.
"Yeah." I said, while seeing blood come in the corner of my eye.
"No you're not, come on." Evan grabbed my hand, while my towel was being held by my other hand, and slowly falling off. He fumbled with the key to his apartment, and then yelled. "IZZY GOT A CUT!" While I saw my father and Evan's come out of a room, racing to get to me, that was when my mind blackened.
And I saw my parents.
