THE mint haired boy grinned at his girlfriend, laughing at a story she was telling him about one of the thin, blonde boys in her chorus class that attempted to play saxophone during class.
his gummy smile was showing off proudly to everyone around him whilst staring at the love of his life dreamily.
they continued chatting for minutes more but then the older silence himself and stares at her perfect features for a minute before speaking.
"god, you're so, so beautiful," he told her. "sometimes i'm stunned that i'm even dating you."
the rest of lunch played out like a cliche romance movie scene.
one minute yoongi was staring at her grinning shyly and the next he was reaching over across the table, holding onto her cheek and kissing her softly.
he grinned happily into the kiss, stroking her chocolate colored hair with one hand while brushing the back of her hand with the other.
while yoongi was caring for his significant other jeongguk was watching in the corner of the lunchroom tearing up and alone.
but he hid his sadness behind his smiles and the tears in his eyes vanished behind the layers upon layers of the matte black eyeliner he wore.
because in all honesty, he would always put the other's happiness before his because he felt that out of everyone in this horrid world, he truly deserved it.
