I sat on the chair at my normal table at the small cafe on 31st Street that Monday.

I wasn't super tuned in that day, my thoughts still mainly focused on my papa. I looked down at the wood floor under the seat my papa sat in. There was a burn mark on the floor. I sighed, and looked down at my camera.

"Need some company?" someone asked from beside me. I shot my head up and looked towards the voice. Payton stood there, holding a to-go cup of coffee. He sat it on my empty table, nudged it towards me.

I hadn't even bother to get a drink that day, feeling very anti social. I looked at the cup before looking at him.

"Why'd you get a drink for me?" I asked him quietly. He pulled out the other chair and sat down. He shrugged.

"You looked like you could use a drink to warm up your cold soul." I rolled my eyes at him half-heartedly.

"I do not have a cold soul. I have a broken soul," I clarified.

He raised his brows. "Did Bookworm break you heart?"

I laughed under my breath. "Bookworm?"

"Yeah, that's what I call the dude you stalk everyday."

"Okay...He didn't. I'm just having family problems."

"Aw, I'm sorry, Camilla. Do you want to talk about it?" I shook my head. I really didn't want to talk about it. It didn't matter who asked, I just didn't want to talk about it.

"Now move, so I can get a picture of Finlay," I ordered, ushering him to move his chair over. He frowned as he stared at me, not moving an inch. I glared at him, pulling the lens cap off my camera as I stared into his eyes.

He sighed and moved his chair over with a squeak. I smiled at him thankfully and leaned my elbows on the table and readied my camera. Finlay was writing something in a notebook instead of reading, but I did spot a book by his left hand, face down.

I anchored my elbows on the table and squinted at the view finder.

Snap.

I smiled at the beautiful picture. It looked amazing. He looked amazing.

And when I looked over at Payton, I caught the look of sadness flash in his eyes.
