Chapter 13

We've been walking all day and finally we found a cabin to lay down our heads ,there was no zombies by the looks of it so we set up fast. Chris took jacey inside and layed her down on a cot.

"Need anything…? " she shook her head no and chris walked back outside. Everyone but me went inside, I sat next to chris on a log just outside the door.

"… Whats it like? " I asked him.

"Hm?" he was confused.

"Ya know…. being in love."I looked at him.

"… Love is a pure thing. Love can be defined as never wanting to leave their side, if they get hurt you want to take there place and be in her position . When jace was injured ,I had to assume the worse. Could I fix her? Of course ,but what if it was bad enough that I couldn't… what would I do then…. Like I said at the warehouse… .theres no point of living for someone who is no longer here, id kill myself if she died today. She's everything to me….. everything I ever wanted . Shes so beautiful, her long luscious purple hair ,her size ,her smile ,her eyes.. mesmerizing. Shes so… strong.. so….. breath taking . My love for her is unexplainable to the human mind. If I were to ask you" he looked up and saw olivia on the cabin porch

"what you like about that girl… love about that girl. what would you say arianna… " I thought to myself

"The way her mind works….. " I thought again

"like love, is a tide. you are one with the sea like you are with me…. " I sighed.

"That was beautiful….. what was that? " chris asked.

"I was thinking of what my father told my mother when she passed… " I cracked a smile.

"Oh… ..well it was beautiful. And what you said, the way a woman's mind work is their most beautiful features of them all…. " I looked at chris thinking how much his love for jacey is worth.

"If olivia were to get infected or.. die? what would y-" I cut him off

"I dont like to think about her dying, leaving me,  but if she were to succumb to the virus…. id put her out of her missery, nobody wants to live like that….. alone. Id kill myself as well. Never seeing that beautiful smile everyday is like hell….. it would push me to a limit....I'd find a cure....first...I don't want anybody to go what i'd go through with her, I know theres a cure and we're all going to find it together.....I promise that. " I put my head down. 

"Hm.. " he patted my back and got up to check on jacey. Olivia walked over.

"Like love is a tide…. you are one with the sea like one with me….. " she repeated,  grabbed my face softly for me to look at her . She kissed my lips with hers ,so delicate ,so peaceful under the moonlight and stars.
