Silent

I'm a writer, I say
And I become a little more transparent
As I watch the world around me,
Not daring to disturb a thing.

I'm a watcher, I say
And my eyes get wider behind thick glasses,
As I collect stories to rewrite and retell,
Making waves without saying a word

My mouth stays shut,
and the glass panes still stand.

Tell me how to disappear and exist at the same time.

I often have trouble finding my balance between being involved in something, and simply watching from the sidelines.
I prefer to watch, but eventually I get stuck in a rut, and can't seem to open my mouth, even when I want to.
