Running In The Rain

Chapter 2

Unknown P.O.V

Well that was strange I thought I heard voices for sure. In the meantime I'll tell the boss we got them.

Ring

Ring

Ring

"What." Boss said.

Damn I mean your doing work for the guy and then he acts like you killed his grandmother.

"Umm, I just wanted to tell you we got the four girls and we are heading over to headquarters now. They are knocked out but no serious damage." I said while sitting down.

"Mmm... good very good. When will you be here and is Justin with you or is he driving?" he asked.

"Justin is driving and we should be there in a couple of hours. By the way, if you don't mind my asking what do you need these girls for. They seem pretty normal, I mean nothing special," Boss simply chuckled.

Wow that really answered my question.

"You know what....since you did such a good job on collecting them I'll tell you. See the whole point of capture was-" He was cut off by a bunch of high pitched screams.

I dropped the phone and ran to the girls room. When I got there the window was open the chains were undone and..and burnt?

So much for normal.

I grabbed my hair and started to pull.

How could this happen!? A bunch of  girls?

I cleared my throat and then began talking. My mouth moved seem to move on its own accord.

"Uh...we have a problem...the girls they um...they escaped."

Sky's P.O.V

One...

Two...

Ten...

Twenty...

Thirty...

Minutes. We have been running for thirty damn minutes and I'm starting to get pissed off. Next time I decide to jump out of a window I think I should get more information about what was going on.

"Cave!" Jenna screamed.

We all turned and looked at the direction she was pointing. It was indeed a cave but I don't know if we are safe. I'm sure that they probably noticed we were gone especially since we didn't close the window we jumped out of. Also screaming probably isn't the smartest thing to do but hey you try jumping out of a window and keeping quiet.

We all started to run in the direction of the cave. It was time we started to figure things out anyway. As we ran we started to see dark clouds and I suspected a storm. Right after that there was thunder and then as if on cue rain poured.

"Ruuunning in the raain! Wait...um, hey Annabel do you know the rest of the words to 'Singing in the Rain' I only know that part," Sydney said.

Annabel gave her one of those 'if looks could kill' glares and Sydney put her hands up in surrender slowly backing away. Then we entered the cave. It was very cold in here and the cave was dark the rocks were wet and as I ran my finger across the side of the cave I felt my hand tracing it. Almost as if there were sometime of inscription on the wall that I couldn't see because of the darkness. I turned around and I felt all eyes on me.

"What."

It came out rather rude but it wasn't intended. I even saw Annabel flinch a little but quickly masked it by sitting up straighter.

"Look we are just worried you have been rather quiet and it's weird to have you just standing around not telling me to get my head out my-" Jenna gave her a stern look to stop her from using the very preferable word. "-butt or giving us orders. It's just not you and if you don't tell us what to do I'm gonna have to and you know that's an accident waiting to happen."

"Yeah I mean remember when we put her in charge of baking for that contest in 5th grade and we ended up failing because she thought that egg shells were what made cake taste better."Jenna said trying to hold in a laugh.

I chuckled at the memory.

"Sorry guys I know you need me but I can't help but feel this is all my fault we are in a cave running from God knows who in the first place. I should've wen more careful. But anyway that's besides the point we really need to discuss this I'm sure you guys have questions for me and Annabel considering you guys just new about this a couple months ago."

"Ok so you and Annabel grew up together right?" Jenna said and me and Annabel both nodded.

"Alright and you both control elements like me and Sydney?" We nodded again.

"Then how come you guys grew up knowing about this stuff and training and yet we didn't start to develop the power till eight months ago."

I looked at Annabel and sighed.

"It's because we were born with it and you weren't. When you were born you were injected with what is known as Peglandin. It gave you-" I pointed to Jenna. "-earth element and Sydney-" pointing to her "- the air element. Probably explains her carefree behavior. Annabel has fire and I...I can control all four."

"Is that even possible?"Jenna asked.

"Don't believe me?Step back why don't ya."I said with a smirk playing my lips.

I picked up my hands and swung them in a coordinated fashion showing fire then water and air blowing, backing each one up and then I stomped causing a mini earth quake and then I stopped it with a snap of my fingers.

Lastly I bowed the same smirk on my face as they just stared at me in shock. All except Annabel she had the same smirk as me.

Sydney was the first to speak.

"Well first of all I'm kind of curious about you I mean you grew up in all this Elemental crap and it was probably like this all the time for you. I guess what I'm trying to say is. Is this the reason you feel like you have to protect all of us?"
