Chapter 4
I know what I'm supposed to do, what all of us are supposed to do. The thing is I don't know how and that paper was supposed to tell me. I can't help but feel that The Guide is hiding stuff from us. Whatever I guess I should be more worried about my kidnapper standing only a few feet away from me.
"Uh guys, the dude that kidnapped us is literally two feet away, what is he doing here?" I scream-whispered.
"Well he's either looking for us or taking a break from travel so he will have to sit down and walk away sooner or later." Annabel said.
"True especially since these places are free. Actually where the hell are we!?" Sydney said.
"Yes because I had a map and knew exactly where we were going idiot," I said rolling my eyes.
Seriously it's like they think I have all the answers. I have most of them but not all.
"Sorry, obviously someone fell of the wrong side off the cave." Annabel mumbled and before I could retaliate Sydney whispered back. "I know right such a sarcastic Susie."
"Seriously guys it's like you know you're not low!" I said as they snickered.
I looked ahead and Mr.I-can-kidnap-kids-cuz-i-got-it-like-that wasn't there anymore.
Wow I need a shorter name for that. I'm gonna call him....Charlie. Yup Charlie it is. So anyway Charlie was gone.
I went to look at my friends and they were staring at something next to me. Or should I say someone. The color drained from their faces and eyes wide. They looked like they've seen a ghost. I slowly turned around with my expressionless mask secured on my face only for my face to be inches away from 'Charlie' himself.
"H-hey buddy."
*****
I stuttered with my voice in an oddly high pitch. He was inches away from my face when he spoke.
"You're abnormally calm considering your face to face with your kidnapper."
"Yup." I said popping the 'p'.
"You know I don't know how you managed to escape but I'll give you a choice. We can do it the easy way. Or the really easy way which involves me shooting both your legs and carrying you to the van." He said patting the gun in his waistband.
"How about neither." I retorted and in one swift movement I had his gun in my hand and I was behind him with my finger on a pressure point on his neck.
"Shhh..." I said as I pinched it and he started to go to loose balance. Into unconsciousness. I dropped him on the ground when I knew he was out. Stepping over his body I turned to my friends.
"Ok guys let's go." I said with a cheeky smile dangling the keys to the van in my face.

"Alright Jenna you check for any tracking devices. Don't forget to check yourself as will I. Sydney your driving. Annabel you and me will try to contact the guide and hopefully we all can see them and they can transport us somewhere." They all nodded and turned to get ready. Annabel and I stepped into the room we were in from the last time we were in the van.
We sat on the bed cross legged and started to chant an incantation. I was startled by a gust of wind and looked down to see I was now sitting on snow.
I felt a presence behind us and new someone from The Guide was there. I turned around to be greeted by my favorite Guide member. Her name is Christina. She had on a long golden gown with diamonds embroidered on the waistline.
I snickered at her choice of clothing. She's 21 and I look up to her completely. Her 'guide age' is 1,000 which is really young for a Guide member. Let me guess you expected some old lady in white. Christina was like the mother I never had. And now I need her help, as usual.
"Hey granny Christie."
