His Mate

Chapter 4

I ran, I ran as far away as I could. Away from the danger, the danger that I used to live in for my whole life. I ran into the woods. The beasts, the ones chasing me.

'I have to run faster, or else they'll catch me'

So I ran. My bare feet just barely touching the ground as I ran. My speed taking me away from the beasts who I thought loved me so much and dogging the trees that were in my way, looking like a blur. Then I heard a sound, a sound that had me going full speed...

I immediately sat up from the bed. Breathing heavily as if I've been running for my life. My eyes shooting open as I sat up. Everything around me blurry.

'Damn it! Another nightmare.' I thought

It took me awhile to notice Xavier In front of me, looking worried. I was sweaty as if I've just run a marathon. I looked at Xavier, questionable.

He just pulled me in and gave me a hug.

"What are you doing?" I asked, no response. "let go!"

"Bay. Are you ok? I couldn't wake you up. You were thrashing around on the bed. Oh, Please tell me your fine. I don't know what I would do if-"

"Xavier!" I yelled, cutting him off from his ranting. He looked at me shocked and worried.

"I've just had a nightmare. That's it. Nothing big." I said, but I was partially lying. It was a big deal, and it's not.

I've always had these nightmares, they lasted for years until I could get over them. Just from those few days that I've spent living in hell. And what a surprise, there back.

It's not a big deal that I've had these nightmares. I've learned to deal with them. Over and over, but this time is different. It's different because I have someone in my life now, someone I know I don't want to figure about my past.

"Bay!" Xavier yells, bringing me back to reality.

"Huh?" I ask. Completely oblivious to what's happening.

"You spaced out on me."

"K?" I looked at him as if asking and?

"Wow, even after a nightmare that left you paralyzed you still have the energy to make jokes and insult me." I heard him mumble.

I rolled my eyes. I got up and started to freshen up. I did everything that I needed to do then I grabbed the remote control to his tv and started to look for something to watch on Netflix.

A growl that's what I heard, no two growls, but they sounded like one. I felt like I was flying. Running, as fast as my legs to take me.

'I'm running in a straight line, I have to confuse them to get away.' I thought

I fan in a circle, between trees and just all around that one spot and the took I in the direction I was going.

I no longer heard the growls, but I still ran. I wanted to look back to see if they were still on my tail but I didn't have the courage.

I came across a village.

'Rouges.'

'Yeah. And we just became one too.'

I slowly wake up. Not like earlier but just a litter slower, my breath heavy.

I don't remember that part. I only remember running away from my parents when I figured out what they were.

I don't remember that part. What the hell!? It's sounded like the girl that's in my head too. And what the hell are rouges?!?

"Your answers will be answered soon. You just have to be patient."

An angelic voice came out of the silence. I took note of how Xavier wasn't here this time.

I looked around to try and find the women who just spoke. My eyes landing on the women. She was beautiful, her beautiful white gown, her beautiful long dark brown hair going down her back, her eyes, they didn't match her hair color but they were beautiful. She had blue eyes, almost like diamonds.

My eyes went wide. Who the hell is she?

"I'm the moon goddess. Don't worry I'm not here to hurt you."

"Moon goddess?" I ask.

"Yes, not many people can see me or talk with me. I have chosen you specifically to e able to talk and see me."

"Why me?"

"That answer will soon be answered."

"Why can't you just tell me what the fudge is going on?"

"I can only tell you bits and pieces but I can't tell you the full story," she walks to me and sits down on the bed. "You have to concurrent this on your own. I will only be here when you need help. Just call my name, and I will guide you through your rough times. But do not call me when your not in need. For that, I will be forced to banish me talking with you."

"I understand."

"Now. I have to go. There will be a time that I will randomly come down and see you, goodbye bay."

"Goodbye bay, until the next time we meet."

That same voice, It's from before, I've met this woman before.

And just like before, the fear of the known, I ran. I opened the doors and fan through the house to the woods.

It's my escape place. Where I can just have time to myself.

'The guard's, shoot.' I thought.

I swiftly ran past them. I miss running, not running from things but just running in general. I heard them calling after me. More like just yelling 'Luna' over and over again.

I ran into the woods. I keep on running until I found a nice little stream. I placed my hands in the water to see if it was cold or not. But was just right.

I took in a big breath. Taking in the nice sents' of the woods. I could identify almost all of them. But that would take me awhile. Then I heard a growl. One that sent pleasure running through me.
