Chapter8: Movie Night

SORRY THE LAST CHAPTER WAS A LITTLE SHORT BUT I WANTED TO HAVE A CLIFF HANGER

*Nash's POV*

I'm glad school is over now I can ask Pea to come over and maybe have another movie night. I want to buy her flowers and chocolate. Just because she deserves it. I'm so blown away by the tweet she is right my mission is complete, well one of my missions. The next one is for her to be my girlfriend but I think I might wait for that. I ran up to her locker noticing she just walked out of her last class. "Hi" she spoke. Oh how I love seeing her with a smile on her face and not a look of confusion. I looked and admired her for a bit before I spoke.

"Hi. I have a question. Is it true? That tweet?" I looked down into her blue bright eyes.

"Yes it is. Why would I lie?" She smiled looking down at her feet. I gently lifted her chin so she was looking at me.

"I didn't say you lied. But I have another question. Can I give you a hug?" I spoke. She just nodded with a smile on her face and hugged me. Let me tell you it was one of the hugs I needed most.

"Now will you stop asking questions and move out of the way of my locker, butt munch." She laughed, punching me in the arm.

"Wow rude." I said sarcastically. After she grabbed all of her stuff we started walking out of the school.

"Are you walking me home?" She said.

"Well yeah why wouldn't I, we are neighbors." I looked over at her.

"I don't know. You could have been going to a friends house after school or something."

"No but speaking of going to a friends. Do you want to maybe come over tonight and have another movie night?" I said while I stopped walking since we were now in front of her house.

"Sure. I'll come over after supper. Text you then. Bye Nash." She said walking to her front door.

"Okay I'll see you then. Bye Pea" I said turning around walking to my house. I yelled to my mom after an hour and told her I was going to go shopping. She didn't say anything back so I assumed she was busy making supper. I got to Target and I bought lilies and yellow roses seeing as they were Pea's favorite. I also grabbed some milk chocolate. I hope Pea remembers that I'm cheesy and I always have to celebrate little things. Tonight is going to be amazing.

*Pea’s POV*

Nash asked me to come over again tonight and I was kind of nervous. I told my mom that I was going over there after we were done eating and that I might pack some clothes if I just stay. Did I actually say that to my mom... Wow now she'll think we might do stuff. My mom always over thinks things but that is a good thing sometimes. Of course were not I know he likes me and all but I don't know if I want to date him or if I'm ready for any of that anytime soon. I texted Nash.

•me•. Hey do you think if we watch movies all night I could possibly just stay the night? I'll stay in Skylynn's room if I can stay so no one thinks anything is happening.. Hint, hint my mom.

•Nashy• I'll have to ask. I’m sure you can. And why would your mom think that, you just started remembering me. Weird

•me• okay and my mom always thinks that kind of stuff now that I'm older. It's stupid

•Nashy• my mom said yes and Skylynn said she’s excited and wants to play horsey with you before you guys go to bed

•me• haha too cute but I don't think she'll be awake by the time we go to bed if we watch movies

•Nashy• well her bedtime is 8 so maybe before we start another movie or we could pause the movie at some point and go play horsey with her

•me• sounds like fun. I'm going to go eat supper now see you in a half hour?

•Nashy• okay see you soon😊

I ate quicker than I usually do because I really want to hurry up and get over there so it wasn't too late before we started a movie. It was 5:34 when I finished packing my bag. "Bye mom. I going over to Nash's" I yelled down the stairs before stepping out onto the bridge. Just my luck though Nash didn't leave his window unlocked today. I text him.

•me• come open your window please it's cold out here

•Nashy• but I'm eating dinner

•me• oh just hurry up dork

•Nashy• okay I'm coming I had to put my plate away

I was about to text him back when I saw him out of the corner of my eye in the window. He scared me to, geez I hate being scared. He opened the window. "Finally, it's cold out here," I said punching him gently in the arm. "And thanks for scaring me. You could have just opened the window instead of staring at me." I punched him again.

"I'm sorry but why do you keep punching me?" He said grabbing my bag from my hand.

"Thanks and because you deserve it" I giggled.

"No I don't. But anyways you want to start watching movies or do you want to go play with Skylynn right now so we don't have to stop watching movies?" He said standing against the doorway.

"I guess we could go play horsey." I said going over to the door towards him.

*Nash's POV*

Good, so far my plan has worked we are playing with Skylynn first. Skylynn is my secret weapon tonight because I gave her the flowers and chocolate to give to Pea. She is going to ask Pea to be the princess. Then give her the flowers and chocolate saying that it's a special gift. "Skylynn do you want to play now? Pea is here." I say opening her door to her room.

"Yay!!" Skylynn screamed running up to us. She gave Pea a hug and asked her if we could play princesses too.

"Yes of course we can play princesses too." She said giving Skylynn a smile. I gave Skylynn a secret high five. I give her a lot of credit she always makes things happen if I ask even though she is only four. After like 15 minutes Skylynn spoke up and told Pea that she had received a special delivery from a prince. Skylynn then gave her the flowers and the box of chocolates. "Skylynn may I ask you the name of this prince?" She asked looking at me.

"Prince Grier sent them." Skylynn said while jumping on my back since I was the horsey. I was looking a Pea when she smiled and gave me a look of hope.

"Skylynn I think we are going to go watch movies now you got to go take a bath." I said grabbing her off of my back. Then she ran out of her room and we started to walk back to my room.

"Nash?" Pea got my attention while sitting on the bed. She still had the flowers and chocolate in her hands.

"Yeah?" I said sitting next to her.

"Why did you get me these flowers and this box of chocolates?"

"Because you deserve them and I had to get you something to thank you for remembering me."

"Thanks and your welcome" she said quietly. "Can we watch movies now?"

"Yeah of course" I put a movie into the DVD player and we laid down on my bed. She didn't lay close to me at first but during the second movie she moved closer and sooner or later she was nuzzled into my chest and was sleeping. This is want I loved. We are back to our old selves and close friends again. I hope I never lose her because once was enough. I picked up my phone and took a picture of her sleeping on me. This was a moment to remember. Sooner or later I didn't want to send her to Skylynn's room because she was so cute and was soundly asleep. I just left her there. I watched the rest of Bad Grandpa. Then I slowly started to dose off into a deep sleep.
