Adventures With Johnny (Mount Everest)

Chapter 5

Johnny landed the first iceaxe on Mount Everest. Johnny started climbing up. Lucas continued then finally McQuade came last but he is still hiking. Johnny hiked up one step after another. After a few hooks from the iceaxe later, the time that they took was already one whole hour. Their breaths started to get lighter . It was harder to breath while climbing rather than on land. Johnny was very fast and Lucas was next. McQuade was last cause he has the least experience on hiking but he can hike. Back then, Johnny used to go on hiking adventures a lot with his parents. They went to lots of hiking adventures before so Johnny was clearly the one with the most experience.

Lucas also had experience especially with standing the cold air cause he was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Turns out, Mount Everest has more flat and small angled ramps up to the top rather than a whole steep mountain that you need to hike. So most of the trip is walking a lot. Johnny was a big fan of walking so he had no problem walking a very far distance. McQuade on the other hand needed a lot of rest cause walking a lot is tiring for him because he was raised in a rich family where he goes around his city with his private car that is driven by a driver hired specifically for them.

"Really rich kid, you tired already!" Lucas boasted to McQuade.

"I'm used to go around places with a car, a big one." McQuade replied with a complaining like tone on his voice.

"Guys, just continue walking, do you want to get to the top or not!?" Johnny reminded.

"Just stop boasting you......." McQuade said.

"You what, you annoying man, really, you have to work on your insults, it's just too weak." Lucas added.

"Shut up, you guys want to hike this mountain or not !?

"Fine, lets just shut up and go." McQuade said.

Johnny succeeded at shutting them up since they're very annoying sometimes. Even though they are friends, they still fight sometimes, especially Lucas and McQuade.

They've been walking for hours already and it was nigh time already. The sky was dark and grey as they start to setup their tent for the camp so they can sleep and continue their adventures the next day. Lucas went to set the tent up, McQuade started urinating after the long walking, he really needed to take the urine out of him. Johnny went to get wood for the campfire. Johnny found the wood and stack it all up together and tried to light up the fire with the old stone method. It took him quite a while but then McQuade brought matchsticks to start the fire.

They finally got to cook the instant food they bought in the airport. Johnny got MREs, Lucas got instant noodles and McQuade got instant porridge. They heated up the water that they have inside a pot and cooked their food. Johnny decided to find ice and take the ice with him for emergency water because he brought water that's only enough for the survival for ten days and he knows that the climb would take more than ten days so that's why he got the ice. That was just the first day of the hike.
