All Over Summer

I'm Leaving

My parents went to the school and the talk with the principal didn't go so well. Right now I'm going home with my dad in his car. "I'm very disappointed in you Rowan." "What did you expect me to do? Nothing?" I ask him upset now. "Let it go, leave it alone. Fuck her, you're never supposed to let it get to you" The rest of the car ride was silent.

When I walked into the house I saw my mom sitting down with coffee. Uh-oh. "Sit," she says to both me and my father. I sat down right in front of my mom. "What's this about?" I ask confused. "Rowan were sending you to LA" "WHAT?" They can't send me there, I don't know anyone there plus I still have a couple weeks left of school.

My dad stood up, went to the kitchen counter, and came back with some paper. "You are going to LA, and you will live in LA. Got it?" He finally looks at me and I give him the death stare. "No, I don't. There isn't anything for me there. And I still have school anyways" They both just sigh. "You are going to a boarding school there. You leave in 3 days so go start packing." "I can't believe this" I say as I leave the table and go to my room

I really can't believe this. LA is so much different from Houston. The style, type of music, the way everyone talks, it just isn't for me. I pull my phone out and see it's only 2:30, this is going to be a long 3 days. I decided to text my friend, Uriah and tell him what happened.

Uriahhhhh: Did you really get expelled?

Me: Yup, how did you find out before I told you?

Uriahhhhh: Word spreads fast. So what are you gonna do now?

Me: My parents are making me go to LA for boarding school

Open

Hmm, he never leaves me on open. I hear my mom call me down to dinner so I just get up and go downstairs. I see the plates on the table and it looks like we're having pork chops with green beans and mashed potatoes.

Dinner was over, the only sound there was the sound of silverware hitting the plates. Mom and dad kept looking at each other but didn't say anything. I guess I really am moving to LA, and that really sucks.

I already took a shower, brushed my hair, brushed my teeth, and put my pajamas on. Now I'm just laying in bed. I decided to text Uriah to see if he would text back but he never did.
