My lovely sister, Eszti, has asked for a pynch fic with Opal, so I've decided to continue this tennis one shot with a part two. I hope you'll enjoy it!
"We should go play tennis some time" Adam thought he heard it wrong.
"Excuse me?" he turned to Ronan, who just broke the peaceful silence of Monmouth Manufacturing. All four of them was sitting on Gansey's bed. Blue laid her head in Gansey's lap and put her leg on Adam's. Ronan was cuddling with his boyfriend from behind him and pushed his head into his shoulders. Now he looked up with a wicked grin in the corner of his mouth.
"You heard me, Parrish. I think we should go play tennis again" he repeated himself.
"Again?" Blue looked confused.
"Yeah, maggot, you heard it right. We've already gone once. Gansey got beaten up, it was quite epic" Ronan expanded the story happily.
"It was not like that" Gansey quickly cut him off, but Blue glared at him suspiciously. "I mean, I did lose" he admitted. "But there was nothing ungraceful about it, it was an even match."
"Keep saying that to yourself" Ronan murmured under his nose, which made Adam chuckle and Gansey roll his eyes.
"I could beat him any time" Gansey turned to Blue, still trying to prove his point.
"Don't bother" she laughed. "As well as I would enjoy watching you two fight on the court, there's no way I'll play tennis."
"But why?" Adam asked, though he had the exact same feeling.
"Because that's something rich people do. And I don't intend to be mistaken with one" she grimaced.
"That's quite unfair, you know" Gansey pointed out, while Ronan leaned closer to Adam's right ear.
"See, I fucking told you so" he whispered into it. Adam knew what he meant, but he was really surprised Ronan still remembered that conversation. It was something he said to get him play about a year ago. Is it possible that Ronan had already been looking at him like that back then? Adam couldn't help, but wonder about it for a while so he missed some part of the Blue-and-Gansey-arguing-about-tennis show.
"I still think you should try it out" Gansey told her when Adam turned his attention back to the conversation, because his theory seemed to be unprovable.
"But imagine how many better things we could do" Blue added. "I mean we could go do that car picnic we have been planning for weeks." That seemed to work, though Adam had no idea what car picnic supposed to mean and judging from his boyfriend's expression, neither did Ronan.
"Could we really do that?" Gansey pulled up his eyebrows with a huge smirk on his face.
"I'd do anything to keep myself away from the court" she admitted.
"Better note her words" Ronan winked at Gansey, who blushed a little by the comment, but Blue just lazily pulled back one of her legs and kicked Ronan in the stomach. "Ouch, girl, I think you would manage playing tennis. You must have the stamina judging from how hard you can kick with that tiny leg of yours" Ronan stated. "But seriously, you guys should come! I can't play with Parrish only. He can barely hold his fucking rocket" he added when he got no answer.
"You will find a supportive boyfriend one day, they said" Adam sighed, which made Blue laugh and Ronan to kiss his neck and squeezed his hand apologetically.
"Sorry man, but you really can't play" he added.
"And really don't want to, so..." Adam sighed, but Ronan seemed so disappointed that he had to change his mind and add "but I'll go anyway."
