Hoseok was laying his head against the now layed bed, the bed covers had been washed, ironed and layed smoothly onto the single bed, his surroundings had finally become cleaner after a lengthy process of picking up his best friends clothing items and rubbish off the floor.
Being in the older's room helped Hoseok calm down as the scent of Yoongi's body wash lingered in the air and was smothered into the bed sheets, always leaving a hint of the smell in Hoseok's clothes, not that he minded at all. He had been in there to calm down his nerves and build up his courage to finally tell Yoongi how much he really liked him. He'd been seeing how close Jimin and the boy were becoming and was in fear that they would soon start developing a relationship where both parties wanted to be more than friends and he couldn't let that happen, not when he still needed to confess to the older.
He was quickly drawn out of his thoughts as he heard the front door close, conversation was being exchanged between the two people who had just entered but only the footsteps of one person was being heard coming up the stairs.
The boy laying on the bed sat up quickly, trying to make it not look like he was getting too comfortable in someone else's space despite it being his best friend's. He was fiddling with the object in between his fingers something he wanted to present to the older once he confessed his repressed feelings.
The door opened but the person at the door frame was not someone he expected, "Oh hey Hoseok hyung!" The familiar crescent eye smile was made something a lot of people complimented the younger boy on a daily.
Hoseok was disappointed in seeing the person who he'd just seen but somewhat relieved as it bought him a bit of time to calm down the remaining jitters, "Ah, Hello Jimin-ah," a tight smile made its way to his face but quickly disappeared not really wanting to show the younger how nervous he was as his cheeks twitched when he tried to smile.
Jimin had sat by his hyung and was now contemplating on whether he should ask the taller boy his burning question, "Hey hyung?" He started but didn't wait for a response as he knew that he was already listening, not knowing that Hoseok was being super attentive to any subtle noise.
"How do you tell you like someone?" He turned waiting curiously for an answer and the older smiled softly before speaking up.
"Well it starts off simple, you want to start to learn their favourite colour, how they like their coffee," a simple nod was gestures from Hoseok's peripheral view for him to continue,
"You love the way they laugh and would do anything just to hear it, same goes for their voice you find yourself smiling just hearing them talking about something they clearly adore. Then it's like suddenly that person is all you can think of, from stupid love songs to staying late up at night playing all the scenes in your head that could possibly happen between you two, you easily get high off their scent and hate when you see them being a bit too friendly with someone else and right now Jimin...right now with all I'm saying you're thinking of them and I know it"
Jimin was staring at the walls in front of him like as if trying to mentally check off his list to see if he applied to any of the things his hyung has just said. And mostly everything he found himself being applicable to, he just needed someone else to assure him that what goes on in his head and how feels was him truly liking someone.
"Plus Jimin-" the younger raised his head a simple 'hm' was made from his closed lips scared he would confess about who he was thinking off at the moment Hoseok mentioned those things.
