Angels and Demons

After the one encounter with my twin brother I decided to put a low profile again. I send him minimum messages, knowing about how he is. As time pass by I get more and more worried.

The angel was right, I can sense that we are in the same country, that he is here somewhere in Canada, but finding his location was not easy. Sataniel did a good job o hiding his own built sanctuary. I have found out that Sataniel was the only fallen angel that can leave his sanctuary.

He was not bound by it and he can leave as he wish.

I was so irritated about that information. I had wish that all of the fallen can do that. I wish that Sariel had survive, if he only can leave the boundary of the sanctuary.

If he just can cross the time on the mundane world and the angelic haven he built, it was so unfair.

Believer or not it’s not the present issue. Daniel was the one doing the most research. Part of him want to help me search for my brother and the other part, maybe the bigger part was to revenge her mother Shamsiel. He don’t really look at the picture the other way. He can’t admit that he is the son of the traitor and especially that the man they called his father was the reason why the most important girl in his life was now dead.

The next day I ask him where we should head next. I told him that we can’t stay in the hotel for a long time and that we should keep going. He agreed that we should find another place to stay. Money was not the problem, but we do attract some attentions, and that was not good.

We know that we are on the run and making ourselves more noticeable won’t do any good here. If we are found in this hotel, more people will die. We then pack up, and check out from the hotel, as soon as we are both inside the car, we search for another place to reside.

We reach the capital, and once again find a place to stay. He are lucky this time, we found a rather cheap but nice hotel. We check in and we are settled to a fine room as they say. I tried to reach my twin brother luckily he is now willing to cooperate.

He gave me more vital view of the place he was into. He is careful and he covered up the rune that we have in common. The place was a castle built in the middle of nowhere. He still don’t find out where it was, he never crosses the border so he don’t know. I told him that it was fine, that we still have time to find out that  detail.

The place was an exact replica of the silent sanctuary, the ground and the castle itself. The only difference is that the silent sanctuary is a ground of light while this place is a ground of darkness. I can sense that, the place was full of creatures that I never seen before.

Valkyrie told me that all of what I heard on the stories, the campfire horrors, the monsters under the bed, they all exist in that place. Once the castle been alive, I have confirm the fact that he told me. It’s a relief that Sataniel don’t pursue us anymore. He had return to the sanctuary a week ago. Valkyrie had shown me what he looks like;a feat that I won’t have to share with Daniel. With him are thousands of black creations, the one you only see on a movie or read on a horror books.

As Valkyrie had been summon for dinner with him, he offered me to show the dark creations that Sataniel cradles. On the mess hall, Sataniel was seated on the very far end of the very long table and Valkyrie on the other end. It’s great that Valkyrie have a somewhat 20/20 vision, he could see clearly.

On the table was Sataniel’s best comrades, Valkyrie took time to focus on each creatures and the same time tell me what they are, He started from the left side of the table going to the right, sat in there was a group of angels with distorted wings or a pair of opposite wings, one was covered on black feathers and the other part was blazing with fire, evil vampires, hobgoblins, bugbears, ettins, phantoms, zombies,  and ghoul.

On the right side he focus on a creature that emits pure darkness, vaguely humanoid in form and wears no clothing and has a smooth hairless body, he told me that it was a  nightwalker, thought to be extinct and seek refuge on this sanctuary in return was its loyalty to the master of the sanctuary no other than Sataniel itself.

I paid more attention to that creature, remembering that it was the same creature that I saw beheaded Sariel. Next to it is a group of three lich, two shadows, a nightmare, evil mummies, an ogre mage, and demons of all kind and shape.

I don’t know how my brother can co-exist with those creatures. If I were on his shoe, I must have fainted dead on the spot. I admire him more knowing that he inherited my mother’s courage. He was brave and everything.

He keep silent and just answer important query. Sataniel didn’t expect that Valkyrie might be his powerful rival. As he trusted me, he started to doubt him more. We devise a plan that might be in use in time.

After a short while I introduce him to Daniel, my only ally. He was cool accepting the help another person that he just met. The three of us shared vital information, and hope rise up.

Maybe this would work, maybe I can be reunited with my brother. As hope rises, and so the chance of revenge. Valkyrie shared us an information that Sataniel feed unto him.

Fortunately he knows our mother’s name, but the story was twisted, with that he wanted my version of the story. I told him about how we are together until our parents are chase by the powers with the help of an anonymous and very relevant informant. I told him how I held his hands but the captor

that snatch him was more powerful than me. How our mother pursue and conduct a search for him. How she hope that one day we will be all together, how she never gave up until the last moment, and how she instructed me to continue what she had started. In that story I know he believe me, I know because I have felt.

It’s a relief that I have shared those with him, my half. I know we are all in grave danger, that as time pass by he was getting far from me. I told him that this time I won’t let his hand slip unto mine, this time we’ll hold each other more tightly.

It’s time to believe that the fact lies in  front of us. That we are not just fighting angels, this time we are about to fight angels that are all like demons.
