The Original Eight

     For past few weeks after our discovery of the known and unknown rune, I was still puzzled about the fact that I may have a twin. My mom truly is mysterious and a good secret keeper. I never heard of her uttering a word about me having a sibling. Daniel told me that it was possible if I have bore the cast rune, there is no other explanation to it.

     I know that he was right, but I don’t know where to start. I have tried asking Sariel about it, be he kept insisting that it’s my duty to know it. The book can’t help me either; the fact that we didn’t figure out how we can open it and restore its original form led the both of us into dead end.

   But Daniel and I don’t lose hope; we still keep on searching clues, believing that anything can lead us to our destination.

    That’s when I started paying attention on the journal again, searching reading, analyzing. And then I came across on a page that I’m really sure that’s the first time I see it. I’m really sure it wasn’t there before. The page was older than the others and the color was rather darker than the other pages. Then I felt a sudden stinging sensation on the back of my neck and on the back of my shoulder. 

    I have known what to expect, I put down the journal and hurriedly position myself on the mirror, and I was not wrong two rune bore on my skin and on the back of my shoulder at the same exact time.

      I took out the notebook and the drawing pad that Daniel and I used to record our discovery, and there it was the same replica of the angelic rune that I have now. The back of my neck has the sight rune on the back of my shoulder is the illusion and hiding rune.

     I hurriedly back on my bed and then stare at the new page on the journal. Now the page are starting to bore letters, and it performs a sentence, as it clears I recognize the handwriting of my mom.

   By the time you are seeing this, mean that you have bore another two unknown runes. Believe me Bethany, I didn’t wish that you are having those, but your fate had it and so your body will show it to you! 

    I believe that you have now the two of the same rune, the sight rune and the illusion and hiding rune. This page is intended to be seen and explored by the likes of us. We are the only remaining blood link that exist those runes. Turn the page as soon as you finish reading this and the instruction are written there.

   As soon as I finished reading those passages, I hurriedly flip the page and there it was the instructions.

   First imagine that your right hand is sliding inside this paper.

Then focus and put your right hand on it. As soon as you felt that your hand was inside, gather the first thing you can touch. That item will lead you to the answers.

After I read and understand the full instruction I tried to do what it says. At first it didn’t work, but as soon that I fought how to keep my mind focus and my thoughts not too astray, my right hand started to drift into the paper without any effort at all.

   The sensation was great; it was like treading water without effort. As soon as the full of my hand slid inside the space inside the paper, I felt something, and then I started to pull it out.

   It was not heavy, in fact it was very light, and after I pulled out the thing that I have felt inside I realized it was a parchment paper rolled and tied with red string. On it a small piece of rolled paper was attached. I took it out and unroll it revealing my mom’s hand written.
