In California, a breeze flew through the air. It caressed Tyler Brown's skin, even through the black sweatshirt he was wearing. The breeze sent chills down his spine, but he continued his walk.

Merely two years ago Tyler was a slightly weird, but almost normal teenager. Now, things were different. Despite the fact of him now being 15, there was also something different about him. Something many people hated about him. Tyler is gay.

Although his parents didn't mind, most other people did. School wasn't always easy, considering he was the only open homosexual person there. He had friends, but he wasn't popular. In fact, he was quite the opposite. The boy allowed his brown hair to stay unruly as he trudged back down the path to his house.

Not long after, he returned from his walk and entered his home. He shut the door tightly behind him while he glanced around the home, noticing that his parents weren't there. 'Probably at the store.' He thought before darting up to his room. Tyler inhaled only to sigh out, flopping down lazily on his bed. Tomorrow he'd have school, unfortunately.

In school, Tyler maintained good grades and took pride in that. He wasn't a show off, but he knew that he was intelligent and wasn't an idiot. Whenever he had spare time away from studying, he did have a passion for writing and also loved to hangout with his three friends, Jackson Krecioch, Larri Merritt, and Ella Lucinda.

They weren't much, but they were practically everything to him. Jackson was more distant, but with Tyler and Larri he was sassy and sweet. He was also very humorous, so he fit in with Larri and Tyler perfectly.

Larri was more of a flamboyant, fierce, person. He has a sarcastic yet sassy sense of humor and enjoys making people smile. Both him and Jackson are 19, while Ella is 15.

Ella is also very smart, and is honestly so pure and innocent. She has long brown hair that cascades down her shoulders into waves, with prominent azure optics. Her body is slim and she has quite the athletic figure, as she does play soccer. Ella also loves animals of all types, but she has a a 'bad bitch' side that she only shows when she's with Tyler, Jackson, and Larri.

His friends were the only things that kept him at the school, or else he probably would've left or just begged his parents to move. They were very understanding, due to the frequent harassment. However, it was far worse than they knew. He hid it from them, as he didn't want to worry them much. Larri was gay, as well. He even had a boyfriend. He'd never come out, though, as he was frightened at what could happen.

Even though Larri wasn't out, he, Ella, and Jackson would always defend Tyler and try their hardest to relate and help him. Jackson was supposedly straight, but nobody in their small group believed him. Ella did like boys, though. She was probably the only straight one in the group.

They were truly the best. He loved them, and they were always there for him. It's been so hard, having to deal with constant attacks just because of who he is and who he loves. Tyler was a sweet person, who would never hurt anyone. If he was so kind, why was the world so cruel? He deserved better and he knew it, but there wasn't anything he could do about it. Even adults would always have a rude comment to make or a childish remark to growl at him.

Somehow, Tyler always saw the light in things. He refused to be negative and continued to smile. His friends say that he's infectious, and it's impossible to not be happy around him. They say he was this certain light to him, a light that shines so bright and could never be put out. Anyone who gives him a chance could see it.

Soon, the clicking of the front door opening made Tyler snap out of his thoughts and stand from his bed. His parents strolled into the house, bringing the shopping bags along with them. At the sound of his mother's voice he bolted down the stairs with a grin on his face to greet them. "Helloooo!" He chirped or in greeting, holding out the 'o'. His father offered him a smile as he struggled with a few heavy bags and his mother chuckled. "Hey, Tyler. Would you like to help?" She asked. Well, he couldn't say no now.

In only a few minutes, Tyler had brought the remaining five bags into the house and unpacked them. His cheery mood was soon ruined by an unwelcome thought. He had to attend school tomorrow. He'd have his friends, yes, but he knew they can't always be there to defend him. A heavy exhale escaped his lips briskly, and he waved goodnight to his parents before slowly making his way to his bed.

'Tomorrow's a new day. With new adventures. Everything will be fine.' He thought. With that in his mind, he began to calm himself. All of his friends would be there, and he would make sure that tomorrow would be a good day. Hopefully he was right. For now, he could only hope and wish for tomorrow to be as good as he thought. With that gleam of hope in his thoughts, he closed his dark brown optics and drifted serenely into a dream.
