Mark and Jack walked hand in hand over to Mark's apartment over the cold, wet cement. Jack loved looking at how Mark's dark red hair blended into his natural black. Jack couldn't stop smiling at his boyfriend and blushing like a twelve year old school girl. He had a song stuck in his head from Mark's favorite band.

"Take me to your best friend's house, roll around this roundabout."

The song looped in his head. Difficult to put into words, but Jack felt exactly as the song made him feel. A story of a first love that he wasn't even sure he had, but longed for. He wanted Mark to be his first love, in an almost one night stand kind of way. Maybe not be together forever, but long enough to get passionate make out sessions. They finally reached Mark's apartment after about half an hour of their feet hitting the wet concrete, making small talk, and gazing at each other.

"Take me to your best friend's house, normally we're making out."

Jack was puled into the apartment complex by his punk rock boyfriend and straight up the stairs, where he was slammed into Mark's apartment door. Mark put his lips on Jack's roughly and didn't break the kiss until he finally unlocked his room. They sat on Mark's couch and went at it. Mark moved his lips from Jack's mouth, slowly, leaving a phantom of their outline on Jack. Mark then placed his lips on the other boy's neck, causing him to quietly moan.

"Take me to your best friend's house, I loved you then, I love you now."

Jack loved this. Just being able to kiss Mark whenever he felt like it. It never went past snuggling without their shirts on, but that's exactly what Jack wanted for now. To make it even better, Mark suggested an open relationship, which Jack loved. They were committed to each other, without having to act like it all the time.

Mark started kissing Jack's collarbones, while putting his hands on the other boy's hips, grinding and pulling him closer. Mark pulled away and ran his fingers through his black and red hair, biting his lip. Jack only stared at his beauty and was studying him, like he was a review for a final exam. Jack finally worked up the courage, put both hands on Mark's neck, and pulled their faces together, until their lips collided.

"Take me to your best friend's house, I loved you then, I love you now."

This scene continued almost every time they saw each other, even in the middle of class when the teacher had stepped out. Every chance they got, until finally, years later, Mark asked.

"Jack?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you maybe want to have a relationship just us?" Mark ran his fingers through his hair.

Jack, once again, started studying him. Mesmerized for maybe a little too long.

"C'mon, don't take me tongue tied."

Jack shook his head, and kissed Mark.

"Of course I want to."

"Take me to your best friend's house,"

"I loved you then, I love you now." Mark said to Jack.

//Dedicated to Will, my punk rock boyfriend with black and red hair, who's favorite song happens to be this one right here. I loved you then, I'll love you now.
