"For the fifth time Johnny, you can't go with me to the convenience store!" Jaehyun yells, putting on his black leather jacket and rushes to the door. He hopes that one day the rude Chicago boy would listen to his damn words, but that day has, unfortunately, not arrived yet.
He notices that Johnny putting on a pair of black-rimmed glasses, which was odd because last time Jaehyun checked his roommate didn't wear glasses! "What's with the specs?"
Rolling his eyes, Johnny flicks the bad boy on the forehead and smiles, "I don't want to be seen in the neighborhood with the likes of you."
That's the thing. How can the neighborhood even recognize Johnny in the first place? He barely manages to step into the outside world and the only occasion he does is to get his damn coconut milk from the vending machine outside of the apartment.
"You might as well wear a brown paper bag on your head with the words labeled i.d.i.o.t on it," Jaehyun responds as he tries his best to stall, but his efforts were in vain.
"That's stupid."
"You're stupid―Before Jaehyun could finish his sentence, his roommate stuck out his tongue and slammed the door shut. It's official, Jaehyun's luck was running out and now he has to go on a wild goose chase.
Normally, Jaehyun likes to take his sweet time walking to the convenience store to see his cute cashier guy, but this time was different. He's now sweating and sprinting as he chases Johnny with his extremely slow legs. "Y―you missed the vending machine! It's the other way, stupid!"
Turning his head around, Johnny gives Jaehyun the middle finger. "I wasn't planning to visit the damn machine. I'm going to personally buy the coconut milk from the store!"
And there goes Johnny, the rude Chicago boy, who was blessed with exceptionally long legs that were too fast for his own good. The bad boy is starting to lose sight of Johnny because his own legs were screaming, "Stop! We weren't built for running. How dare you make your two legs run."
No, Jaehyun wasn't a quitter. He needs to run like his life depended on it! Giving everything he had, the bad boy finally reaches the convenience store and sees Johnny calming sitting on one of the outside chairs with a grin plastered on his face. "Wow Jaehyun, what took you so long? My grandma runs faster―"
"Oh shut it with your grandma jokes. They're not even funny!" Jaehyun snaps as he sits on the other available table that wasn't occupied by the rude boy himself.
Johnny questions, "Why are you sitting so far from me?"
"Because your existence makes me want to explode." The bad boy responds as he gags. Was Johnny pretending to be stupid? It's quite obvious that the two of them were born mortal enemies.
The rude Chicago shrugs his shoulders at Jaehyun and nods in agreement. For the first time in forever, they were on the same page. "So, who's that guy over there?"
"What?" Jaehyun narrows his eyes and notices that his cute cashier guy was stocking on the chewing gums that he 'samples' every day of the week. "My angel is over by the chewing gums."
Johnny wiggles his eyebrows and gives Jaehyun the stupid, 'not that guy, the other guy by the cash register' face.
"Oh, you mean the less important cashier guy?"
"No, Jaehyun. Who else would it be?" Johnny sarcastically says as he crosses his arms and was so judging the bad boy. He pauses stealing side glances at the boy with the cute dimpled smile working at the cash register.
It was that other not so important cashier guy that was far from being cute compared to Doyoung. Jaehyun doesn't exactly remember his name, simply he wasn't interested in any of the other cashier guys besides his cute cashier guy. "I don't know? I think it was Fen? You know the guy you wanted to roast."
Johnny asks. "Don't you mean, Ten?"
"Yeah, sure." Jaehyun responds, rolling his eyes and pretends to care. How was he suppose to remember that other cashier guy's name when 80% of his brain is occupied by his cute cashier guy? The other 20% goes to his efforts of studying for that civil service exam he has been neglecting ever since Doyoung came into his life.
Johnny groans and gets up from the chair. He makes his way towards the front door of the convenience store and hears Jaehyun snap. "Where do you think you're going?"
"To roast that Ten guy, of course." He mumbles and waves for Jaehyun to join in. "Come on, don't you have a date to confirm?"
The bad boy grits his teeth and frowns. "Yeah, I do! But, you better not interfere."
Jaehyun and Johnny both enter the convenience store and the first thing Jaehyun does was greet his cute cashier guy. He whips out his best pick-up line of the day and smiles, "Is it hot in here or is it just you?"
Doyoung blinks and stares at the bad boy with his cute doe eyes. "Oh? Do you want me to turn on the AC?"
And, there it was. Jaehyun can hear a couple of snickers coming from the other cashier guy who was working at the cash register by the front. He was totally judging him! Well, the bad boy doesn't care. Even if he sort of failed with his cheesy pickup line of the day, there's always tomorrow.
"No sweetheart, I didn't mean it like that."
Doyoung teases and reassures Jaehyun that he was joking. "So Saturday right? Where are you taking me?"
Now, the bad boy probably thinks that he finally scored an official date with his cute cashier guy, but the universe seems to always pick fights with this poor bad boy. Just when Jaehyun was about to respond back to Doyoung, he was rudely interrupted by the other less important cashier guy.
"He's not going anywhere without me!" Ten glares at Jaehyun and gives him the 'I'm watching you face."
"Or me!" Johnny waves, introducing himself to Doyoung as the awesome roommate with the amazing personality. It's quite obvious that the Chicago boy was trying to cover up his rude phone call from yesterday with lies, but the cute cashier guy wasn't buying it. Thankfully, he wasn't the only one who felt displeased that both Johnny and Ten decided it was such a great idea to interfere with his date with Jaehyun.
A/N:
And, so the double date is officially on!
Oh and Doyoung is pretty pissed that his one on one date has now turned to a double date. Can you imagine how hard was it to piss off someone as angelic as Doyoung? It sucks that both of their friends have to interfere, but don't you guys worry!
Doyoung and Jaehyun will both have their way in the end.
Oh! And I have already planned out what they are going to do for the date. Jaehyun is finally going to prove to Doyoung that he can actually punch someone.
By the looks of it, this fic may prob end by chapter 8-ish with a few bonus chapters of Johnny.
