Readers POV~

This was the 5th time, I woke up from my sleep. I decided to get up no matter now early it is. Picking up my phone, and looking at the time 3 a.m on the dot. I groan in annoyance. Ripping the warm duck egg colored covers off my body. I stumbled around to grab my dressing gown which was carelessly thrown on the desk chair. Carefully opening my bedroom door, looking left and right before shutting the door behind me and making my way down the hall. I was arguing with myself if I should walk or take the lift. Lift would be quicker but also Jarvis is known for making a lot of noise, so stairs it is.

I quietly made my way down the stairs with my big fluffy dressing gown dragging behind me. I was making sure not to wake up anyone in the early hours of this morning, it didn't really matter the loud booming from the thunder outside which echoed in Stark tower could wake anyone from their sleep. I was making my way to the kitchen to get a warm glass of milk, and a snack to hopefully make me fall back to sleep faster. With every step of my chubby foot, the thunder got louder.

I got to the living room when a strike of lightning lit up the room, then vanished as soon as it arrived. The rain poured down the crystal glass windows of stark tower. Just watching the rain a shiver went down my spine, I tightly wrapped the dressing gown around my plump body. A small whimper was coming from the sofa. I looked around confused and shrugged it off. Another whimper comes behind the sofa. I looked over to see Loki wrapped tightly in a green blanket when suddenly a crash of thunder hit. A small nose came out of Loki's mouth and started shaking.

'Is he? No he can't be scared of thunderstorms his brother Is god of them.' I thought to myself. I looked at him in sympathy.

I made my way in front of him. Maybe I can help him in some way?

'Maybe he is having a nightmare? '

I gently touch his shoulder. His pure green eyes were wide. He sat up quickly and looked everywhere but me. I took a seat next to him but not too close I didn't want him grossed out by my flab.

"What do you want mortal" Loki asked. I guessing he doesn't like showing his emotions or fears to people.

"I just come down for some milk when I found you on the sofa you must be a light sleeper." I said not wanting to make him angry. A lot of people don't like sharing their fear with people who might use their fear against them. Which is understandable. I wouldn't want someone using my fear against me just to see the look of Horror on my face and find it funny. Honestly it wouldn't matter anyway I was only a stupid fat mortal to him anyway.

"Quite, now would you like you get your milk and go back to your room" he said, looking the other way. Without another word, I got up and made my way to the kitchen. Another boom of thunder made me jump. I looked in to see Loki shaking in a tight ball once again.

'I can't leave him like that' I said to myself.

I wanted to make hot chocolate for Loki, maybe that will make him open up a little. I opened the cupboard to see the hot chocolate was on the top shelf where I can't reach. What is with these people putting everything on the top shelf. I grabbed the wooden chair and put it in the right place. I stood on the chair on my tiptoes. I grabbed the chocolate powder and slipped. I knocked the mugs with my foot and fell on the floor along with me. A loud thump was heard when I hit the floor. My right cheek stung a little. I placed one of my fingers where it hurt then looked at my finger. Blood. Oh, I must have cut my cheek on a work surface of something. Somehow the mugs were not cracked.

Placing some milk in a jug I put it in the microwave for a few minutes. When time was up putting two spoonfuls of chocolate powder in the jug and mixing well, the hot chocolate was ready.

I poured a decent amount of hot coco in a cup, and placed it on the table right beside Loki.

"I made you some hot chocolate. You don't have to drink it. I thought I would be nice" I said the last bit quietly.

Loki looked up from his blanket ball.

"Thank you." he mumbled. I nodded and made my way back to my room.

"Wait" Loki said he stood by the side of the sofa with his green blanket gently falling to the floor. I turned to face him. His pajamas were dark green silk. It was a bit odd to look at but he seems to pull it off.

"What happen to your face" he asked.

"oh, I um slipped of the chair getting the um coco powder for your drink" I said

In a matter of seconds Loki stood in front of me. he hesitantly placed his hand to my cut cheek. I looked everywhere but him. His hand felt smooth and cold like glass . His touch become colder like ice. I finally looked at him. He was an angel. His skin become light blue, his once green eyes were red as a rose. Breaking us from the touching moment a clash of thunder hammered though the sky. Loki pulled me in a hug holding on to me for dear life. The thunder never stopped. Loki started to whimper from the loud noise from outside.

The thunder become a low rumble.

"Oh my. That was embarrassing. You tell no one about this" Loki said a letting go of me and looking the other way. His skin was no longer light blue and his eyes were no longer blood-red. But back to normal.  But he had a permanent blush on his cheeks.

"I won't tell anyone, I promise" I replied with a small smile.
