Ravenclaw was woken by the sound of a cat yowling. He slowly got up and stretched, then padded out of the warriors den. Ravenclaw saw Dustpaw urgently meowing something to Miststar. He trotted over, confused. Dustpaw looked at him, then yowled " SQUIRRELPAW IS STUCK IN A TWOLEG TRAP!" "WHAT!". Ravenclaw's neck fur bristled with horror. "We were hunting, she smelt some food, then she went inside a trap by accident!" Dustpaw meowed in urgency. "SHOW ME!" Ravenclaw yowled, then he Dustpaw and Miststar bounded away towards where Squirrelpaw was trapped.
When the three cats reached the place, Ravenclaw gasped with horror. The bush had gone. All that was left, was a small pile of crushed leaves. "She was right here!" Dustpaw insisted. Ravenclaw sniffed at the ground, and growled "It was a twoleg". Miststar hissed, and unsheathed her claws. "I need to find her" said Ravenclaw. Miststar looked at him with narrowed eyes. "Miststar, she could be in danger!" he exclaimed. Miststar stared for another few heartbeats then said "Yes, you can go, but you must take another warrior with you". Ravenclaw dipped his head, then raced off back to camp. "Rest first, and get some herbs from Tigerpelt!" Miststar called after him.
Ravenclaw padded up to Tawnywing, his tail twitching anxiously. "Hi Tawnywing" Ravenclaw meowed. "Hi" she replied. "Look, Squirrelpaw's been stolen by a twoleg, and I have to go out and find her, but Miststar told me to take a another warrior with me, and I thought maybe you would come". Tawnywing seemed to be absorbing everything Ravenclaw had just told her, then she looked at him, her eyes full of determination. "Of course I will come" "Good, we will leave in the morning, get as much rest as you can". Tawnywing nodded, then trotted into the warriors den, and Ravenclaw followed. He curled up into a comfortable nest of moss, closed his eyes, and fell asleep
