Ravenclaw crouched silently in the long green grass, as a rabbit sat nibbling on a flower, a few tail-lengths ahead of him. He narrowed his eyes, and silently unsheathed his claws. He bunched up his leg muscles, ready to pounce. Then he sprang! He seized the rabbit, and bit down hard on it's neck, killing it instantly. He curled his tail with pride, and padded back to where Tawnywing and Mintpaw lay, the rabbit dangling from his jaws. He plopped the fresh-kill on the ground, and the two she-cats eyes lit up. "I'll see if I can catch a mouse or two in those tree roots, so we can all have a decent meal" he meowed, then trotted over to the bottom of a large oak tree. He dropped into a hunting crouch, when he smelt the delicious scent of mouse. He waited for a few heartbeats, then he spotted the little creature, nibbling on a seed. Ravenclaw bunched up his leg muscles, and his claws slid out. He pounced, and landed on the roots of the tree, the moss made him slip, and fall onto his back. The mouse darted away, and Ravenclaw raced after it. He eventually caught up with the creature, and he seized it with his claws. His ears were hot with embarrassment when he carried the prey back to Tawnywing and Mintpaw, so he pretended nothing had happened. Tawnywing had caught a vole, and Mintpaw was half-way through a sparrow. Ravenclaw laid down and tucked into his rabbit.
After they finished eating and cleaned their recent wounds from the scrap with the Swampclan patrol, they set off again, still following the twoleg trail. Ravenclaw looked with worry at the cut across his leg, it had scabbed over, but it was still really painful. He tried to ignore it, and focus on following the twoleg scent. He looked behind him at Tawnywing and Mintpaw chattering, only the usual she-cat friend stuff, Toms, apprentice training, how cute Leaftail's and Bramblestorm's kits were. Ravenclaw suddenly stopped. In front of them was a Huge field of tall brown-yellow grass, and in the distance, he could see a twoleg nest. Ravenclaw yowled with glee, and bounded down towards the field.
