I headed to his side unlocked the door and opened the door for Beam. When he got safely inside I closed the door and got in and cranked up the car. It was like a dream when there were just only two of us in the car on the way to the province. It was like a private trip and I was very excited about it.
It was not quite a private trip per se because the van that was carrying the students of the Faculty of Engineering was just ahead of our car. Beam looked at me up and down and then locked his eyes on the window looking outside silently. He must be thinking to himself and once in a while he adjusted the stereo volume. He kept shuffling the genre of songs from country music to POP then to Acoustic. Sometimes he just listened to one song repeatedly and started singing along. I did not pay much attention to the song he had been playing. I was just so excited that Beam was by my side.
The player was hitting the last song on the playlist and it was replaying everything from the beginning. I took out a flash drive from my pocket and plugged in into the stereo board. It contained all my favorite R&B songs whenever I had a long drive. As the music began, Beam said "That's boring...!". I looked at him puzzled not sure what kind of music he liked. "It is kinda heavy right?" I said. Honestly, I was a big fan of Rock genre. Something heavy like Metallica.

"You did not like this kind of music?" I was still looking at him perplexed. He looked at me and said with a smirk on his face "Well, I don't mind listening to it. But If I could I preferred to hear something more less heavy." He quickly pulled out my flash drive and instead connected his phone to my CD player via a Bluetooth. Then I could hear a soft music coming out which was very pleasant to listen to.
Just be friends, but when we're together, you're like my breath...
