"You probably have not heard that I'm not single, have you?" She was in denial and said "Please tell me that it is not true." I really wanted to end this conversation so I pulled my last string, "Actually, my lover is sitting right next to me and...heard everything. I need to hang up right now."
The boy next to me froze and his mouth could not move to continue chewing candies. Then he slowly turned his head towards me and said "It was funny! Only you could come up with such a story." I replied sarcastically in a soft voice, "Only you could find it funny."
After the laugher died, there was nothing but silence in the car for a few minutes. Actually, I was not serious what I said earlier. But I remembered a few dating tips Sharp lectured me another day. So I pretended that I was still angry that he answered my phone with my silence protest. "Why are you so silent? Do you hear me?" Beam asked me in a very soft voice.

Sharp was a genius when it came to dating. I was having an upper hand now. Beam stopped eating candies and moved his handsome face towards me and said "Did I do something wrong?" At this point, I still ignored him and kept my cool. His voice became a little shaky and sound worried. Then he said, "Can you see that she stopped bothering you already?" This was so funny and I was not planning to stop now. Now he turned his body to face me and said, "Forth, don't be mad ok. It does not suit your face." Then I turned to look at him. Was this his method of reconciliation? I thought I needed to pretend to be mad a little longer until he said "Okay, I'm sorry. Please say something." I remained quiet and he continued begging me, "What did you wanted me to do? I'm really sorry." I felt something poking on my cheek. I turned around and saw tried to feed me his candies and said, "You did not like?" All right, I give up. I opened my mouth to let me feed me. He murmured, "So childish!"
Finally I broke my silence and said "It is yummy. I've never tasted this kind of candy before." Beam face brightened up and said, "Really? It is the kind of sweet I like most. But every time Kit eats it he always vomits." I was actually to hear that we had something in common now. And I said, "I think they're delicious, could I have some more?" Without a word, Beam fed me a mouthful of candies. He said, "Open your mouth and say Ahh." He stop eating and was instead feeding me. I was overly happy chewing candies and looking at this handsome face next to me. After a while, Beam suddenly stopped and said, "Take them and help yourself." If I was such a jerk, he was such a mood killer. I thought of a trick and said, "I need both hands to drive the car." Beam looked at me hesitantly and continued feeding me unwillingly. There was indifference. To me, it really was awesome traveling with someone I was in love with.
