"Emerald?!" I yell, and leap into the most deserved hug.

"Yup, how's school going for you?" he said.

"Great, learning the same o' same o'." I say. "What about you?"

"Oh, you know, traveling Remnant. Saw Obsidian a couple of times, she told me to say 'hi' to you for her." he said with a smile.

I look back at the team, and they had the most confused looks on their faces, probably because they had absolutely no idea who he was, and probably a bit shocked from his light green skin.

"Why are you here? Here to say 'hello' or something?" I ask.

"Just stopping by. I plan to go to the temple after this, say hello to the gems there. Anyway, I saw your fight."" He lightfully punched my arm. "Nice one. I've seen better out of you though."

"Well he wasn't a gem monster, can't exactly go full out on him."

Yang steps in between us, scaring the heck out of me.

"Wait, wait, wait. You two know each other?" Yang exclaimed. She dropped her volume to a whisper, "And you guys are gems?"

We look at each other. Emerald gave a little nod towards the door, indicating that someone was eavesdropping our conversation.

"I'd be better if we talked about this in private." I say.

We walk over to team RWBY's room and I walk in and shut the door and Emerald closes the window, basically cutting us off from the rest of the world. I made sure that nobody was out in the hallways and came back in the room, where everyone was either seated on the floor or in their beds. Wow, they made homemade bunkbeds. That's new.

I lean over to Emerald, "Hey, remember when Steven wanted a bunk bed to himself?"

He chuckled and nodded. "I have no idea we had to make a big deal on telling them that we are gems."

"It's complicated. I just don't want them to pity us."

Yang was the first to speak up from the group, "Alright, what is so important that you had to tell us in private. And who the heck is he!?"

"This, is Emerald. Ruby, you already know this, but we aren't human."

"Heh, duh." Emerald said smirking. I nudged him.

"Anyway," I say glaring at him. "We are part of a race called the gems. We are warriors here to protect the planet. I came here to learn a little more about the humans and I'm guessing Emerald is here just to visit."

He gave a small wave.

Weiss finally had a moment of "click", as we like to call it. "Oh! So that is why you have different color skin!"

Emerald rubbed his arm, "What's wrong with having green skin? I like it."

Her eyes shot open, "No! I didn't mean it like that! It's just, different, having a person with us with supernatural abilities and weird skin."

"Yes Weiss, our skin represents the gem that we possess. Mine, is an Aquamarine gem as you may have guessed, and Emerald's is an Emerald gem. Our bodies have unnatural abilities because our bodies are basically projections of light with mass. We have no muscle limits because we don't have any muscles. That is why we can jump so high, run real fast, well me anyway, and don't have to eat or sleep. It is pleasant to do so though." I explain.

"Not to mention, there are different types of gems, each with a different power to possess. Mari here, has the power to control hydrogen and oxygen atoms, and in desperation, able to amplify other gem's powers. I've only been able to see her do it once though. I have healing powers, accessed through singing." Emerald said. The team had their mouth agape.
