There was a knock on Charlotte's front door. She groaned and got up from her spot on the couch. She had been watching Criminal Minds and overthinking about Sebastian. She walked to open the door.
"Darcy! I told you to grab your stupid keys before you left." When she opened the door she was surprised to see her boyfriend. "You're not Darcy."
"I came to explain myself." He kept his head down, too afraid to meet her eyes.
"Okay, go ahead." She put her hands on her hips, still standing in the doorway.
"Can we go inside?" He asked.
She pushed the door open and went back to her spot. He shut the door behind him and was going to sit right next to her but she gave him a warning look. He sat on the chair on the left side of the couch and let out a long sigh.
"Let me start by saying that I'm sorry. You know I love you, right? Like a lot? It's ridiculous." He tried to lighten the atmosphere.
Charlotte couldn't help but break into a smile. Of course, she knew he loved her. He should also know that she adores him as well. For the past two and a half weeks all she did was worry, get angry and stress eat. Darcy left to go get more snacks because the two had eaten everything in sight.
"I know." She said simply.
"I'm sorry for being an asshat. For not meeting your mom and waiting to talk to you until I knew she was gone. I'm sorry for not talking to you. I'm sorry for everything, I really am." He was looking at her with his big beautiful eyes and she couldn't help but feel bad for being so angry.
"I just want to know why Sebastian."
"I'm scared, you know how I am. I'm an insecure little shit. I was scared to meet your mom because it felt all too soon. I was overwhelmed and I didn't know what to do so I lied to you. I feel so bad for lying to you, I never want to lie to you again. I'm a bad boyfriend, baby , but I love you." He reached for her hand and intertwined their fingers.
"You're not a bad boyfriend Sebastian. Just a bad liar. I love you too." She kissed his knuckles and pulled on his arm so he could go come onto the couch.
"I missed you." He said into her hair.
"I missed you too, the shirts I stole don't smell like you anymore, I think I might have to give them back." She chuckled.
"I'm sorry." He said again.
"Babe, I forgive you, but my mother is coming back in two months and you are going to meet her." She said sternly.
"Of course, I feel really shitty for Chris meeting her and I didn't." He admitted.
"You should, you jerk." She said jokingly.
"I got you something." He told her.
"What?" She asked.
"An apology present."
"You are a sucker." She laughed and kissed him.
"Let's go get it." He said getting up.
"Where? I don't wanna have to put people clothes on." She groaned.
"You're adorable, now come on." He pulled her off the couch.
"I'm gonna go put sweatpants on." She said running up the stairs.
"You look beautiful." He told her when she came back down.
