~DAD, NO!~
Summer was boring, besides for the letters I got from Draco, those were fun. Then 2nd year was nothing important, same thing. The whole thing that happened with The Chamber of Secrets was the same as last year. I helped The Golden Trio, got rewarded, my dad got mad, etc.
The best thing that happened though, was Draco and I got closer. We started calling each other 'best friends' and we spent time together 24/7, everyone thought we were a couple. My friendship grew with him, but also.. a love for him sprouted. I started developing strange feelings for him. My favorite times were when we sat on the emerald green couch next to the fireplace in the Common Room. I would lay out my legs onto his as I read a book or 2, while he would practice magic or do homework. It was peaceful.
But during the next summer, I got no letters. I was worried that I had done something, said something, or anything to make him mad at me. I started growing a depression, a constant need for him.
This year, 3rd year, isn't as peaceful as last, which hurts me more.
----------------------------------------------
"Sorry we're late everyone." My dad drawls as he makes his grand entrance into the Grand Hall, me strolling quietly behind.
"Ahhh, Severus and Y/N, I thought you two weren't going to make it for the first year sorting ceremony." Dumbledore says.
All eyes are on us, or more likely, me. I had to admit, I had grown after the summer. My features developed, like my lips got plumper and my eyelashes were bigger. I had my h/c hair down, curly as usual. It bounced with each step I took, joining with the clicking sounds of my black heels. My dad stopped, turning to me.
"Yes, I'm so sorry we are late, my dad had some troubles with packing, as usual." I smile mischievously at my dad. "You don't have to make a fool of me, Y/N." My dad groans and rolls his eyes. "It's the truth." I slightly shrug my shoulders. My arms were behind my back, my hands intertwined together neatly. I was in a black button up shirt with a white collar and white buttons. I had a black pencil skirt on, the shirt tucked neatly in the skirt. "Sometimes the truth doesn't necessarily need to be told." My dad fake scowls at me. "My father taught me to be good and always tell the truth, I'm sorry sir." I fake scowl back. He takes a sharp breath in, turning around quickly. "You may go take your seat, Y/N." He hisses as he walks to his seat with the other Professors. "You should as well." I hiss back, walking towards the Slytherin table. I can hear him huff in frustration. I roll my eyes as I walk past people, hearing what they had to say about me.
"Is that Y/N Snape? Dear lord she got hot." A Gryffindor guy whispers.
"I mean, she was cute, maybe even pretty, but now she's just sexy." A Ravenclaw guy cat calls.
"How does SHE get to be so pretty?! It's unfair!" I hear a few Hufflepuff girls jealously hiss.
I roll my eyes once again as I make my way over to Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe, and Goyle.
"Evening everyone." I monotonously say as I walk over, standing next to Pansy. I was about to sit before I look around our sitting area. "Where's Draco?" I ask, trying to keep my curiosity low. "Oh. He's over there, sitting with Astoria." Blaise points. I look over, and sure enough, he's sitting with Astoria. They're laughing about something along with Astoria's friends. "Why isn't he over here with us, like usual?" My voice cracks a little, my emotions starting to show. I take a deep breath, trying to control myself.
"I don't know. He didn't sit with us on the train either." Crabbe mumbles as he stuffs his fat face with chicken.
"Oh." I mumble as I sit down. "Pansy's not taking it well either Y/N. You don't gotta' act like it doesn't hurt you in the least bit." Blaise softly says. "Oh, I wouldn't have known. It's not like she's been in love with him forever." Everyone chuckles as Pansy hits me playfully on the shoulder. "And you have no room to talk, Zambini. We all know your crush is Pansy." Everyone laughs harder as Blaise hits me on the shoulder too. I halfheartedly smile, poking the food on my plate with my fork. They were talking about something I didn't really have interest in, so I zoned out.
"Y/N!" I hear Goyle call. My head snaps up, looking at him. "What?" I snap. "You went quiet, did you zone out? It's almost time for us to go to the dorms, you should really eat." Blaise says in a worried tone. "Yeah I zoned out, but I'm fine. Just a lot of stuff has happened during the summer, you know? I didn't get a letter from Draco at all." I mumble the last part, poking the food again. "Oh, dang. You guys were really close best friends. What happened?" Pansy joins in, sounding worried too.
"I dunno'. He just.. stopped. But I'll eat in the morning. Don't worry." I fake smile, setting my fork down. "You better, or we'll kill you then make your dead body eat." Crabbe jokes. We all laugh, me chuckling slightly. "Everyone, off to your dorms. First years, follow the Prefects." Dumbledore booms. The food disappears off the tables. We all start walking, but I stop half way. "Y/N, what's wrong?" Pansy asks. Our group stops to look at me. "I'm gonna' go out and sit by the lake. I'll be back before bedtime." I shrug them off. "Okay, be careful." Zambini calls as I walk out towards the Black Lake. I sit down and start throwing rocks into the water. For the first time in forever, I felt alone.
"Y/N?" I hear a raspy voice call. I turn my head to see who it was. It was The Golden Trio. "Harry, Hermione, Ron! Hey!" I smile. They all smile back, sitting next to me. "We noticed Draco didn't sit with you guys and you didn't eat. What's going on?" Hermione says comfortingly as she places her hand on my shoulder. "Nothing, I'm fine. We're fine." I stutter out, tears on the brim of my eyes. I blink them away as hard as I can, but with no luck, 1 or 2 drops into my lap. "You don't seem fine." Ron frowns. "I am. Just a lot on my mind, you know?" I look up and fake smile. They stay silent for a little while as we stare up into the night sky, looking at the glittering stars.
"Well it's getting late, we should head in." Harry interrupts the peace and quiet. We all stand up, walking up to the castle. We walk in comfortable silence until we get into the front hallway. "We should walk you to your Common Room." Ron suggests. Hermione and Harry nod, but I shake my head quickly. "No. You guys have already risked being out late for me, I can handle walking to my Common Room." I sadly smile at them before I whip around, walking down the corridor in silence.
"Y/N!" I hear a yell behind me. I turn around to see Harry running up to me. "Are you sure you're okay?" He huffs out. "Yes, I'm sure Harry, now go. Like I said, I have a lot on my mind." I reassuring smile at him. "I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks, his eyes full of hope. "Of course." I giggle. "I gotta' go, and so do you guys. Goodnight Harry." I wave at him as I turn around, walking down the hallways towards the dungeons. "Goodnight Y/N." I hear him whisper as he runs back to his friends.
I walk down the stairs, down twisty hallways, and finally reach the Slytherin painting. "Chocolate frogs." I whisper the password as the painting glides open. I step in, the painting closing behind me. I enter the Common Room, everybody's eyes turn to me.
"Y/N, we were worried about you! It's passed bedtime." Pansy screeches. "I'm fine, like I said, I was down by the lake." I roll my eyes at them, walking towards the stair case. "I'm going to bed, that should help me." I said in an annoyed tone. I stop, turning to look at them. I flash them a sad smile as I whisper, "Goodnight."
And with that, I walk up the stairs towards Draco and I's dorm. Before I reach the doorknob, I hear giggling coming from inside. I take a deep breath, looking up and blinking away a few stray tears. I twist the doorknob, entering the dorm. I look over at the living room couch, which was seating Draco and Astoria. Astoria was sitting on Draco's lap as they kissed. I slammed the door shut which caused both of them to jump, flinching at the sound. They both turn to look at me so I tilt my head down, hiding my face which was flooding with tears. I speed walk towards my room's door, opening it and slamming it shut after I entered. I leaned against the door, slowly sliding down and sitting on the floor. I fold my legs to where they were up against my chest. My arms were wrapped around them tightly as I leaned my head against the door, silently sobbing.
----------------------------------------------
Birds chirped outside my window, bright light shining through. I had fallen asleep curled up on the floor. I got up slowly, making my way over to my vanity. I quickly sat down, looking at myself in the mirror. I was a mess.
My hair was all tangled and messy, looking like a h/c bush had been plopped on my head. Mascara lines trailed down my face, my eyes red and puffy from crying. I sighed quietly as I tried to fix myself. With little help done, I decided to put my hair up in a messy ponytail for now. I walked to my bathroom, stepping in front of the sink. I reached a shaking hand out to turn the cold water handle on. Refreshing cold water started to pour out. I cupped my hands and started splashing my face with water. I rubbed away the mascara lines and soothingly rubbed my sore eyes. After about 5 minutes of this, I turned the handle, shutting off the water. I walked into my bedroom, walking over to my bed, seeing my new uniform. It had been touched up by a professional tailor. It was now suited to my grown body.
