Adeline's POV
Today was quite rainy and my hair got wet which I wasn't too happy about. I wore a black fedora hat with my beige shirt dress. I was heading back to my local forest to adventure again.
I was in my last year of university and I'm turning 21 soon. In my free time, I enjoy going on adventures alone since no one really wants to go with me.
My name is Adeline Uta Chanzina and I'm studying biology. I always enjoyed nature and I also had a natural vibe of softness and caring.
I was heading back home, when I passed a beautifully built wooden staircase leading somewhere. I was confused but also very intrigued. I wanted to go but it was getting quite dark.
I marked the spot on my map to remember where it was and headed home with many question about that weird bridge staircase thing.
Once I reached my apartment complex, I unlocked the door and walked to the elevator ignoring everyone around me.
You see, I was different from the people in the area I lived in. They would call me a 'crazy b*tch' or a nature freak. I wasn't, apparently, your average black girl. But for me that was absurd.
How can you 'be' a black girl? I really don't get it. As I unlocked the door to my appartment my little kitten called Clarry meowed and trotted over to me.
"Hey baby." I said as I picked him up. I closed the door behind me and set him back down taking my outside gear off.
"You know, today I found this bridge thing and it was really pretty and I want to go down there tomorrow." I said. He meowed and licked his paw in agreement.
"Is someone hungry" I said zooming to the kitchen as he followed me. I went to the cupboard and got his cat dinner and gave it to him. He began to devour his food and I laughed at how silly he looked.
I got out my leftovers from yesterday which was whole grain pasta with pesto and tomatoes. I warmed it up on the stove and once it was done, I made myself a plate.
I took it along with Clarry to the living room. I ate without the TV or my phone and just thought about what could be down there.
"I really wonder Clarry. I really do."
