Kats POV

I walked over to Harry's house. The leaves were falling ever so lightly down on the ground. I walked up the steps to his porch and rang the door bell...... no response. Rang it again.....

"Oh god, she's here." I heard harry say right before a giant crash. "Dammit."

I giggled. Oh Harry, you clumsy child. I heard him shuffle towards the door. The door swung open, with a dazzling smile.

"Hello Katrina."

"Hello Harold." He smiled and I smiled back. He backed away from the door and held out his arm towards the house. "Wont you come in?" He said, his eye brow raised. I giggled and walked in. He shut the door behind me.

"So.. what do you want to do?" I asked, but then a blind fold was covering my eyes. "Harry, what are you doing?" I said, with a smirk.

"Just listen to what I say, ok?"

"Sure thing boss."

He guided me into his living room, then sat me down on the floor.

"Harry, what are you..."

"Shhh. just wait." I heard him run to the kitchen. He hit the end of the table with his hip.

"Ow." I just giggled. Then the air filled with an amazing scent.

He walked back and sat across from me. I heard him set the plates down.

"Ok, you can take off the blindfold now." I pulled the blindfold off to reveal a candle lit dinner on the floor with roses on the ground around us. I lifted my head towards Harry.

"Harry, what is this?"

He opened the lid to two plates of perfectly cooked pieces of steak, with mashed potatoes and biscuits.

"Oh my god Harry, what is with all of this?"

"Just thought I would surprise you." He said, his dimples appearing as he smirked. He filled two wine glasses with sparkling juice.

"Harry.."

"Don't worry, its not alcoholic."

"No. that's not what I was going to say... I.."

He slid a glass in my hand. "Here, taste."

I held the glass to my mouth and took a sip. The fizzy drink slithered down my throat into my stomach.

"Mmmm... that's really good." I said, taking another sip.

"Told you. So, you wanna eat?" He said.

"What about your parents?"

"Out eating."

"Gemma?"

"At work."

"Oh. So, its just the two of us..."

"Yeah, is that ok? Just two friends hanging out." He said, looking at me.

Phew, I thought he was going somewhere else. "Yeah, that's cool."

"Sweet, dig in." He said as he passed me a plate. We ate our food and we just... talked... it was a very nice change. Niall and I never talk. We just....well ya know.

"Follow me." He said as I wiped off food from my mouth with my napkin. I got up and brushed the crumbs off from my pants, then followed him. We headed downstairs into his basement.

"Wanna watch a movie?" He asked, turning his head to look at me as he was walking down the stairs.

"Sure." I said.

"He sat down and grabbed the remote. I sat next to him on the couch.

"What do you wanna watch?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Don't care."

"Hmm... he said as he was scrolling through movies on Netflix. "Oooh, what about the Notebook?"

"Yeah." I said.

"Let me go get some popcorn. Be right back." He got up and ran up the stairs.

A few minutes later, he came back with two bowls of popcorn, and cans of lemonade.

"Havent we had enough food?" I asked, smiling.

"You cant  watch a movie without snacks." He said.

"True." I took a bowl as we got comfortable. He handed me a blanket and I layed it over us.

Half way through the movie, Harry paused it and turned towards me.  I looked at him.

"What?" I asked.

"Oh nothing. just concerned about you."

"Why?"

"Well.. I mean you and your brothers have been fighting... and I don't know you've been through a lot.. I just felt like I should be there for you.."

"Oh, Liam, Louis and I made up, its all good."

"That's good. he said. Then he leaned in a kissed me on the mouth. OMG

"Harry!" I said pushing him off.

"What?!" He said, alarmed.

"Why did you kiss me?!"

"I thought Liam and Louis told you to not date Niall anymore?"

"No! They were totally cool with it! Im still dating Niall!"

His face flushed with depression.

"I thought you guys were over." He said.

"Obviously not!" I said, steamed.

His lips started to quiver. "I'm soo soo sorry... I just... I thought you and Niall were over.."

Omg.

"Harry, darling... Im still dating Niall. But we can still be friends." I said rubbing his arm soothingly with my hand. He smacked my arm away.

"No. I'm tired of watching you and dumb jock together being all lovey dovey. Im absolutely sick of it! I don't just want to be your friend. Don't you understand!!" Now he was getting all fired up.

"Harry.. I'm sorry. I thought we liked each other as friends." I said. He looked me dead in the eye.

"Kat Paynelinson.... I've loved you ever since you moved into the neighborhood in kindergarten. We've been friends ever since then. You always said you had to wait till you were older to date. You always thought I just listened, but I took that to heart. Once you got older and your parents said you could date, you hooked up with an idiot who doesn't love you! I guess your parents were right and.."

"Don't you dare call my boyfriend an idiot, and Never... I mean NEVER bring my parents up!" I screamed. I got up and began to storm up the stairs.

"Wait Kat, im sorry! That wasn't what I meant!" He ran up the stairs after me.

I stormed to the door and opened it and walked out, then slammed the door on him. I paused on his porch.

"God dammit Harry!" I heard him scream. Then, he punched the wall. "OOOWWWWWWW" Ouch, that's gotta hurt. I continued on, walking home as tears willed my eyes. I don't think I have my best friend anymore.
