Percy was happily sitting on the lab table, swinging her legs and drinking her juice. She would have preferred to be with Fury (her weird grandpa) or Phil (Weird uncle), but they were both busy, so she had to be with Bruce while her uncle was away. She could see Bruce keep glancing toward the monitor some agents had set up so he could watch the cage for when Loki arrived.
Or they just want to remind me they could lock me away at any moment. To remind me I'm nothing more than the mindless-
"It's not for you. You know that right?" Percy said, surprising him out of his thoughts.
Bruce looked at her curiosly. "What do you mean?"
Percy pointed at the screen, "The cage. It's not for you."
"What do you mean it's not for me? Why else would they build something that strong for containing some one?"
Percy hopped off the table she was sitting on, throwing her empty juice box away. She went over to the monitor and slid up, pulling up the description of the cage from below the picture.
(BTW I'm making this up)
Name: The Cage
Description: This cage was built to keep powerful beings contained until they calm down enough to reason with, or a cure for whatever ailment could be found.
Uses: Made to hold: mutants, enhanced humans, super spies, and demigods. Do not lock agents or scentists in there because "it's funny".
Created with the insistance of Agent Natasha Romanoff.
"I don't see how that's supposed to calm me."
Percy pointed at the list (or at least close to it), "Do you see 'scientist' anywhere on there?"
Bruce pointed at the end of the list, raising an eyebrow, wondering why she didn't mention the other guy.
"Really? When did they change it?" Percy looked up in thought, then looked back don again, "probably after Tony. But I didn't think Mama hated him that much. I thought she would just make him go sit in the corner."
Bruce snickered, definitly seeing that happen someday. He corrected himself on his earlier statement, "Well, it says not to put agents and scientists in there, but as you can see, it is on there."
Percy nodded in agreement, then added, "Well, if it was greek, latin, or russian I would be able to read it, but unfortunatly the agents aren't smart enough to read any of those." Bryce was about to say something, but she continued, "All higher level documents are in Latin, but lower level documents have to be in english, with only a few exceptions. The program can translate to Spanish, different Chinese dialects, Arabic, Vietnamese, and others, but none of the ones I can read. I learned to read early on, but I can't read anything besides the three I know because of my dyslexia. It's a weird dyslexia because for some reason it excludes some languages, but I still love reading what I can."
Bruce raised an eyebrow at the continuation of her statement, surprised by the dyslexia.
Bruce turned back to his computer, but still talked to Percy, "So how did such a happy little end up under the care of two superspies? Not that I doubt they could raise you, it's just that you look like neither of them in the slightest."
Percy walked up the computer as well, not reading it, but looking at the pictures. "I never knew my real father, but my first mom said I looked like him. A few years ago, I ran into my new mom on my way to the park. She helped me find my first mom, but she was asleep and not waking up. My new mom, the spy, is taking my moma until my other mom wakes up. Clint's like my weird uncle though, not a father. He's the one who taught me sign language to use when I don't want to talk. It freaks people out and it's funny whenever people think they just got mad at a deaf child."
Bruce looked up, seeing if Percy was going to say anything else. Instead, Percy grabbed another juice box and sat by the window where some agents were walking by escorting Loki. The man smirked at Bruce before getting confused at Percy. She wasn't stupid, she knew who kidnapped her mom, and she knew what happened.
As soon as Bruce turned away again, Percy slipped out the lab and ran out.
Loki was getting bored. He was sure the famous Black Widow would have gotten him out by then. The door opened, and he was surprised when it wasn't her. It was a child. The child, however, walked like a miniature Widow.
She had walked straight up and was sitting on the rails. She did nothing but sit there and stare at him for a few minutes.
Loki eventually got tired of watching the small girl stare at her and snapped "Why does this small mortal watch me so?"
Percy continued staring. This was the man who had taken her mom. The second one. Her first mom had been dead for a while.
"Why'd you do it?"
It was so unfitting from a small child, it surprised him. "What ever are you refering to?"
The girl did not move, but she did continue her inquiry, "Why are you threatening people? Why are you doing this?"
"You mortals need a leader. I deserve to be that leader." Loki spoke as if he was explaining it to a child. Which Percy technically was a child.
"Well, since you said that, you don't deserve it. No one worthy of being a leader thinks they deserve to be a leader. But why?" She spoke with wisdom far beyond her years, surprising the man in front of her.
He just raised an eyebrow wondering what else she could mean.
"Where's my mom?" Percy surprised him again with her question, which was a feat in itself. He only had been able to to take control of Black Widow, and he wasn't aware she had a child.
Hawkeye burst into the room, looking aorund for Percy. He saw her almost immediatley before shooing her out of the room.
