Chase couldn't sleep, so he returned to the window once more. Out he stared into the dark, dark sky full of bright, shining stars.
As he stared into the sky, he thought about the universe and all of the mysteries included. He looked at all of the stars, and thought of a mysterious galaxy far away.
This galaxy contained a solar system named Alichai. Alichai had one sun and 15 planets.
Chase tried to picture another world at the 14th planet away from the Sun, Xenaria. Xenaria was very similar to Earth, except it was covered in a dense blue fog and was covered in fields of gorgeous indigo flowers.
Chase saw a creature unlike any other animal he had ever seen on Earth, prowling through the blue meadow. It seemed to be searching for something. For what Chase wasn't sure, but he knew it was important.
The creature was very much unlike himself, it was roaming the land freely, and eagerly, if not a bit distressed. Chase wondered what was bothering the strange creature, but suddenly sat up with a jolt. He couldn't think about Xenaria anymore, he was tired.
Chase climbed into bed, and slowly drifted to sleep. He was woken up by the sounds of his family arguing downstairs, like always. This time it was about his older sister, Abby.
"Honey, you need to eat breakfast before you go to school!" His mother protested.
"You don't need to eat if you don't want to," exclaimed his father.
"John, this is not your battle! Stay out of it!" Shouted his mother.
"Don't tell me what to do! I am a grown man!" Roared his father in response.
"Fine. Whatever, I'll eat some breakfast," he heard his sister finally say.
Chase was tired of the constant fighting in his house. He hoped that school would bring something more cheerful to his day as he walked down the stairs to join his family.
