"Kids, I think it's time to go home. We've had enough of this trip to last a lifetime, don't you think?" Chase's mom questioned.

"I agree, let's pack up," his father answered.

On the drive home their mother lectured them on safety while out in nature. She explained how, like they found themselves, it is very easy to get lost. She went on to say that you should never go out alone, and to stick on the trails.

Chase yawned in the backseat. The camping trip was something he would keep in mind for the future, but he didn't see why they were making such a big deal about it. He soon fell asleep, and woke up a little while later when they got home.

The family unpacked the car, and got settled back to their daily lives.

Chase often thought of the bird in Xenaria, but didn't have anymore new visions. His life had become a series of simple tasks: go to school, come home, eat, sleep, repeat. He longed for something more from the everyday routine, he longed for more Xenaria.

Finally, a few weeks later, his wish was granted. This time Chase saw the bird wandering around and around the land, searching for its eggs. He just couldn't image his parents being so determined to ensure the safety of their children like the bird of his dreams.

One by one, slowly, the bird stumbled upon another egg. As each new one appeared he grew increasingly delighted.

The eggs were beautiful and exquisite; a blue and indigo swirl. As the bird searched for the last lost egg, the first one hatched. It was very confused, the eggs were not supposed to hatch this early. Nevertheless, he traveled far and wide, seeking the last egg while the young bird followed.

After two weeks, all of the eggs had been found. The bird was overjoyed that he was one step closer to saving his race from extinction!

Chase sat up with a jolt; how much love must the bird have had to continue with such a journey that it did? It was hard to imagine, Chase thought to himself. He decided that he would try to be the bird, and act with great intentions.
