~Zodia's POV~

Seeing all of them had made it safely to Hammerhead caused my smile to widen. All were speechless and seemed as if their eyes would pop out of their heads if widened any further. I took a step closer to them, sending Noctis into a sprint. He wrapped his arms around me, bringing my body into a tight embrace. Hugging him back, I felt numerous of emotions run rampant within my chest. Sadness, fear, anger, and disgust rose to the surface, trying to break through. Not letting those emotions free, I pushed them down and let Noctis' embrace calm me.

Suddenly, I felt another pair of arms wrap around me. Hearing sniffles, I gaze up to see a whimpering Prompto had joined our hug. His wails filled the garage as he hugged me tighter. Losing the ability to breathe from his tight arms, Noctis notices and informs the crying blonde.

"Prom, don't kill my sister."

Prompto immediately let go and apologized profusely. "Don't worry about it, Prompto. I'm happy to see you as well," I sweetly reply. The next one over was Gladio. He placed a hand on top of my head and messed up my hair. "Hey!" I shout. Gladio chuckles, patting me on the head. "Her Highness is more tough than I thought."

I shove his hand away and send him a weak glare. "Watch it, Gladio," I warn. He smiles and apologizes while laughing. My glare broke and was replaced with my usual smile. Noctis suddenly bent down to my height and whispered in my ear. I began to blush, pushing him away gingerly.

"N-Noctis!" I chide. He laughs, leaving the garage with Prompto and Gladio. When I glanced at Ignis, I saw he was still in shock. Being concerned, I approach him slowly and take one of his gloved hands in both of mine. "Ignis, I wanted to apologize for not being able to contact you sooner. My phone was destroyed and--"

Ignis tightens his hand around both of mine, halting my words. "Ignis?" I call his name gently. His emerald eyes bore into my crystal blue ones. Myriads of emotions brimmed from his gleaming irises, confusing me as to what he was really feeling. Without a word, Ignis pulled my hands and brought me into his arms. My head rested on his chest, allowing me to hear his racing heart.

"Reading about such a tragedy only brewed more worry for you. Knowing you could have perished in such a besiege consumed me. Though, that is in the past. I am rapturous to see you are safe," he said just above a whisper. Hearing his voice for the first time in weeks was like listening to beautiful bells that were creating a melody in a faint breeze. Just listening to his words made the tears I were desperately holding back cascade down my cheeks. Unconsciously, I clung tightly to the back of his blazer. Feeling my grip increase, Ignis soothed me with sweet words while stroking my hair.

After I had calmed down, Ignis used one of his hands to search his pocket. When he had pulled out my hairpin, I gasped. "Y-you got it this quickly?" He nods, smiling down at me as he slid the beautiful ornament into my hair. He leaned forward, resting his forehead against mine. "Though minuscule, the hairpin was enough to infuse us with hope."

"I'm overjoyed to see it again. This is the only thing I have to remember you by. Now, I don't need mementos when I have the real you standing in front of me."

Ignis smiled and broke the hug. He moved his hands to my cheeks and wiped a few stray tears away. His warm smile made my own grow wider. Ignis slowly leaned forward, holding my head in place. Before our lips met, Cid entered the garage and ruined our   happy moment.

"No makin' out in the garage!" He hollered.

My cheeks ignited with a red hue and hid my burning face with my hands. Ignis lets out a small sigh and apologizes to the older gentleman. Still not being able to make eye-contact with anyone, the two of us leave the garage and join the others.
