**(Okay so I am like obsessed with Soulmate AU's so i hope you like it)**
Like everyone else, you were born with your soulmates name on your wrist and when you meet you soulmate the name changes from a tattoo to a burn. many people say it is painful so there's no way you could meet them without knowing. Unfortunately your soulmates name was Joe. Often times when you were younger you would simply stare at you the name on your wrist wondering if you'd ever really find him.
You were the only one of your friends who hadn't found your soul mate yet. They'd often make jokes saying the fates couldn't fine a soulmate for you and had just put a random name on your wrist, and that this 'Joe' didn't actually exist. And as time went on you began to think maybe they were right.
You were walking your dog like every other morning in the same park as always. You saw couples walking together looking happy and it honestly disgusted you. (Me.) Suddenly your dog started dragging you snapping you from your thoughts.
Once he was done running he started playing with a Corgi. You took a deep breath and huffed.
"Hello," some one said. you looked up and saw a man with dark hair pulled back in a man bun and a woman beside him who you assumed was his soulmate.
"Hey," you said trying to hide the fact that you were incredibly out of breath from chasing after your dog.
"It looks like they like each other." The girl said motioning to your dogs that were still playing.
"Haha, yeah. looks like it. I'm y/n by the way." you said introducing yourself.
they both looked at each other for a second before looking back at you making you wonder if you had said something wrong.
"I'm Caroline, and this is James." the woman said sweetly. "I don't mean to be intrusive but, is your soulmates name Joe?"
You stared at them suspiciously for a second before pulling your sleeve back to reveal the name on your wrist.
Again they looked at each other but this time they shared a knowing smile.
"This might sound kind of odd, but would you like to go on a date with our friend Joe, he has your name on his wrist."
"Oh, uh, yeah, sure." You stuttered out.
You exchanged a few words with the couple before they had to leave. You gave them your number and they promised to give it to their friend.
Of course this was shady but at this point you were desperate. Later once you got home your phone dinged as you got a text from a unknown number. The text asked if you were y/n and you confirmed it and the unknown number revealed themselves as Joe.
You talked a bit longer and agreed to meet up at a local coffee shop near by the next morning. to say you were anxious was an understatement, you had been on many many dates with people named Joe but this time something felt different. Maybe he was the one.
you hardly slept that night and you woke up extremely early to get ready. you spent what seemed like hours trying to decide on something to wear. You wanted to look nice, but not to nice seeing as it was just coffee and finally you decided on an outfit.
Finally it was time for you to leave. you took a deep breath to try and calm your nerves, before grabbing your cellphone and leaving your house.
As soon as you stepped out of the house you wished you had decided on more than a crop top but you were to determined about looking cute for this date to go back inside and change.
You made it to the coffee shop and walked in the warmth and the overwhelming smell of coffee surrounded you. You looked around saw everyone in the shop sitting with someone. You frowned thinking that he hadn't showed up you again look around the coffee shop and in the very back you saw a guy sitting all by himself but with two coffees in font of him.
He was looking down at his wrist running his finger across his soulmates name. You decided to walk over to him. He was rally cute that's something you would admit. He wore a hat and a star wars t shirt paired with denim jeans.
"Umm, hi, are you Joe?" You asked nervously. He seemed a bit spooked at first but stood to his feet in front of you.
"Yeah, I am. its nice to meet you." He said in a sweet voice.
He leaned in for a hug and the world slowed down. As soon as he touched you you'll know if hes really the one. The hug didn't last long as you both pulled back as a burning sensation filled you. It started in your heart and slowly spread to your arm engulfing the name on your wrist.
as the pain subsided you pulled back you sleeve to reveal the once black mark was now a simple burn mark that still said the name 'Joe'.
Everyone in the shop obviously knew what had just happened as applause and cheering rang all around you.
both you and Joe looked at each other and smiled.
"We are not naming any kid we have Joe." You said laughing slightly.
He just laughed before pulling you in for a kiss. "We'll talk about that later." He said in a joking tone as he pulled back.
