Eloy's Pov
The music he heard had chilled him to the bone. It didn't sound like Celesta's music it sounded to dark and depressing and frustrated. Nothing seemed to go together and it was something he would not have danced to.
And when he had saw in her room in the dark it would give him nightmares. The curtains were pulled shut as little fragments if light manages break in setting her in an eery light, and with her hair set freely that drapped in odd angles around her face. Her face at been set in concentration but it was strained.
He had set her violin in its case and closed and latched it shut tight. He had been right in getting everyone to come here. She didnt seem the type of person who would just shut everyone out especially after seemed to be having such a fun time.
I pulled her all the way to my bike and placed a helmet on her head and waved her parents and everyone good bye before jumping on and then tugging Celesta on as well. I had no place in mind, I just drove. I drove all over town nodding hello to anyone I saw. I wasn't really focusing on them though. Just on how Celesta tightened her grip when we turned or when I sped up, or the way she used one hand to hold on while the other one sliced through the air diving up and down when we went a steady and easy pace.
Thats when we found our selves at my grandpa's auto shop. As I pulled up, there he was wiping his hands and looking grumpy but I knew he was holster. He just put on that fave to scare everyone he thought it was funny to see people term me when he spoke deeply. "Hey old man." I called as I parked the bike and watched Celesta get off and pull the helmet off and look at Gramps with a steady gaze. Not even Julia would or could do that.
Gramps laughed. "I like this girl. She has a strong will." Celesta smiled a sweet weak smile. "No I fear I'm still in shock." Gramps laugh holding out his hand. "Names James Rocco. That little shits grandfather and guardian." He gestured over to me as Celesta took his hand. "Cesta Owens. A pleasure to meet you." Gramps paused looking down at her hand and turned it over poking it. "That is a smooth ass hand." I blanched as Celesta laughed startling me further. "It comes with having to take great care of my hands. I don't make things such as you do but I do create something that is pleasing to the ear." He looked over at me still holding her and and poured at her. "Can we keep this one? I don't like the other one, she doesn't talk to me." I rubbed te back of my neck nervously as Celesta chortle, using her free hand to cover it up.
I pulled the rag from my back pocket and tossed it at her. "Its not funny." She only laughed harder as Gramps laughed a good deep belly laugh.
I shook my head and pulled celesta with me who laughed along with thr old man. "Come on you can laugh while I finish working on a car." I sat her down and pushed a hood back up and got to work as Celesta tried to contain her laughter. The thing was, it was like trying to catch a pig, it kept getting away from her.
She would be so silent then start laughing again. Though eventually she did stop ad was content to just watch me. With me occasionally asking for tools and se would do her best to find them. It was fun watching her trying to find them. It was extremely humorous watching her trying not to get her hands greasy. It was like the harder she tried the dirtier they got.
She shook her hand as she handed me a wrench. "I am not handing you another tool." She whined as she tried to wipe the grease onto my rag. I smirked as I pointed the a bolt. "May I have that please?" She hugged reaching for it and handed it to me anyway. "You were saying!" She pouted. "I give up with you."
I laughed as gramps stuck his head under the hood. "Cone eat something, the old lady is yelling at me." I smiled and crawled out from underneath the car. "What she make tonight." Gramps smiled. "Food." Was his normal reply. "Good food?" He nodded his head. "Good food boy!" He rufgled up my hair as I wiped my hands clean and set straight for the sink. "Come little mechanic, we'll get that grease off of ya now." Her eyes lit as she looked up from her hands.
"Really?!" I dipped my head and turned the hot water on and poured dawn soap into my hands. "One last thing, boy." I looked over my shoulder at Gramps as he grabbed a bowl. "Julia's here talking your grandmother's ear off. She's ready to blow." My eyes darkened as I peeked at Celesta.
She was busy scrubbing her hands. "Since you have just met her, what do you think of her." Celesta shook sticking out her tongue. "Repulsive, immature, and crazy." I smiled bumping her with my shoulder. "Don't let her hear that. I made the mistake of calling her that to her face once... Well let's just say you are absolutely 100% right." She smiled then froze as Julia's voice sounded off.
"Right about what?" My shoulders slumped as I rinsed the rest of the rest if the soap and tapped my hands again,st the sink then wiped them on my jeans as Celesta followed my lead. She smiled at Julia. "That dawn soap dries out the hands when used directly on the skin." I was shocked with the answer. She had come up with the idea right off the top of her head.
"Hmm, I hand no clue." Celsta nodded her head. "It is, that's because was first used to get the stuff grease that stuck to the plates, its even used on animals that get caught in oil spills." Julia bought it as she moved with Celesta to the dining room with me behind them. I shot both my grandparents a look and motion at Celesta and then putting my hands in prayer.
They got the meaning and smiled. "Celesta this is my wonderful wife and old lady Ruthy Ricci." Celesta reached out shaking her hand. "A pleasure ma'am. My name is Celesta Owens, and may I say, from what I have seen so far, your house is just lovely." My grandmother blushed placing her hand on her cheek. "What a child you are! Your way with words is splendid. Only if this hunk of an old man had way with words like you do." Celesta smiled sitting next to my grandmother as she gestured to it. "You flatter me ma'am." My grandmother shot me her own look of praise.
She like Celesta already as well. Which was surpriseing she never liked any of the girls I brought over.
I sat on my grandfathers side across from Celesta with Julia next to my side much to my annoyance. "Oh, before we begin, Eloy, may I barrow your phone to let my parents know I'll be staying for dinner." I nodded my head and gave it up as I started plating my food.
