Celesta's Pov
Qusim had disappeared altogether. It was like he had never been here but I knew he still was. I see little bits of him here and there. He was not directly in my sight and when he is, its always when my friends are around me. Though he never got the chance to approach again in that day.
I was back to smiling playing my violin when something hit. I knew what I was missing and I halted in playing making it screwy and the others cringe. "What was that?" I jumped up twirling. "Oh, I just figured it out. I figured out what went wrong." The others just looked at me weirdly but I ignored the look and began to play. The song from the very beginning to the end, but this time it wasn't the end.
I continued on, letting my feeling poor through and something beautiful emerged. It was because of Eloy and them. They gave me a new light and I was going to let them know it for the rest of my life. I smiled brightly going through with the motion and was twirling around them. It was wild and chaotic but it was there. It was comforting.
I ended the song and was beaming from ear to ear. "I have to get this down. Then I have to get it named and then made sure no one can steal it." I was trembling and I moved to get it all down.
"Well, congratulations on finishing the piece." And just like that, it was gone. I sighed. "Never mind." I sat down roughly and chose to ignore him. To pretend as if he did not exist. "By the way, I do enjoy the fact you had a restraining order put on me. Honestly, from what I get you feel about me, it took you long enough." I turned now. I meeting his golden eyes.
He had been enchanting when I first saw him and the way he spoke it was like he was casting a spell on you. I knew then he was dangerous and stayed away. I even tried to warn Violet but it had been too late. He had caught her in his web.
He held out his hand. "Please, take one last walk with me." I shook my head. "No thank you, I won't give a chance to entangle me with your twisting words." He chuckled sending shivers down my back that I had managed to suppress.
"It's no different than what you do with your violin. You enchant people with your magic." I narrowed my eyes at him. "Go away Qusim." He smiled do a little bow. "If the enchantress wishes, so be it." I wanted to throw something at him. I wanted to hit him but instead, it all disappeared when something splattered on his shirt.
I followed from which way it came and saw Shannon herself standing. "Go away demon, you made me throw my pie, you're even worse than a demon, your Satan himself. Go away and stay away." Her lip trembled and I had to laugh.
"Shannon I'm sorry, I'll ask my dad to make you whatever cake you wish." She smiled sitting back down forgetting what she just did. And I swallowed standing up.
"I'll walk with you Qusim, as repayment for the shirt." His face was vacant and he was stiff.
Before I could go though a hand latched onto mine. "Celesta." Eloy's worried voice drifted into my ears causing me to turn to look at him. I knew what I needed to do make my point across and so Qusim got the point. I leaned across the table pulling him to me and kissed him. I kissed him deeply till I felt he knew and pulled away tapping his hand and he released me a dazed look in his eye but still understanding.
I walked past Qusim not stopping. "Shall we get that cleaned." He walked beside me in silence till he sighed and we were out of sight. "Lovely show, point known, but not taken. I told you didn't I, I won't give up." I crossed my arms. "You're gonna have to. I don't have feelings for you and I never will. Why can't you understand that." He laughed darkly turning towards me. "You did at one point." I shook my head. "And I told you, it was a mistake. It should never have happened." He glowered at me as he took his shirt off, throwing it into his locker.
"A mistake? I never thought of it that way." He paused, staring at a shirt in his hands. "Makes me wonder what your little boy toy would think if he found out." I unfolded my arms letting them drop to my side. "And what makes you think I haven't already told them?" He smiled pulling his shirt on.
"Two reasons. One you wouldn't want to seem the victim. Second, you said it yourself. It was a mistake that you wanted to keep hidden. Why would you tell them?" I scowled turning away from him. "I'm not into to deceit like you. It was a mistake but it's not a secret. Rigel already knows about it. He was the first I told. And I never felt guilty about it. Sure at the time, I did love you but you changed that when you drove Violet to what she did. You only have you to blame." This time I gave a mocking bow. "So excuse me, I do believe I have my "boy toy" or something." I strode away feeling better after the talk.
One thing was for sure though. Eloy needed to know what I had with Qusim before he found out himself and got the wrong idea. I was not one for drama and never will be.
I sat down with everyone's eyes on me. "I need to tell you something but not here." He nodded his head slowly looking behind me and I followed his gaze to see Qusim watching me. He smirked and then was gone.
"It's about him isn't." I nodded grabbing his hand. "Yes but more than that. Let me tell you after school please so I can figure out how to tell you." He nodded bring my hand to his lips kissing them. "Anything for you my little mechanic." I laughed kissing his own hand before the bell rang and two classes were left.
