Later that day, I followed Mr. Pod to several other parts of the MTAI. They had ingenious ideas that could revolutionize the world. Driven by curiosity, I asked Mr. Pond if I could see the manager of the facility. "I'm sorry, I must have misheard you.", he said politely, and turned toward me. "What was that?" I began to feel pins and needles along my neck and nervously answered, "Uh.. I would like to see the manager of the MTAI...your boss..." Mr. Pond glanced at the ground and hesitantly answered, "Well, he usually doesn't like visitors, but I guess you can come in." We started walking down the now crowded hallways through crowds of people jotting down notes from where they last came from. Mr. Pond and I eventually made our way through the several twists and turns of the building and made it to an elevator. He opened it with his ID and we stepped inside. I looked out of the elevator's glass walls as he pressed the button for the floor that we were travelling to. Suddenly, I heard a slight buzzing sound. It got increasingly louder and louder, but stayed relatively soft. I looked over to Mr. Pond, who seemed like he had experienced the sound hundreds of times before. He likely has. Then the elevator shot straight up and my stomach sank to my feet.

I wobbled out of the elevator which had travelled at least more than seven stories in about three seconds. Mr. Pond checked on me and looked like he suddenly remembered something, then remarked, "It usually takes several times for people to get used to the elevator's speed. AT least you didn't regurgitate," I raised an eyebrow at him, but he had already walked toward a large steel door at the end of this hallway. I quickly followed and waited patiently for Mr. Pond to do something. HE stood in front of the door for several silent moments until I noticed that there was a camera in the door's frame. A voice suddenly echoed, "Mr. Pond, hello. Who is your... 'friend' you have there?" I looked in the direction of the voice and realized it had come from a speaker in the hallway. Mr. Pond licked his lips from nervousness and answered, "This is..." He looked at me and whispered, "What's your name?" I hadn't understood what he said, and raised an eyebrow. Mr. Pond rolled his eyes and answered, "This is a student who would like to do research on the MTAI and our studies." The steel door clicked and we entered into an extremely cold room with a large desk inside. It was badly lit with blue light and behind the desk sat a man with a shaven head and bright, curious blue eyes. "Welcome to the Mental and Technological Advancement Institute." He had an immense pile of papers on his desk labeled on top, "Experiment: Vaccination Activation".
