When I heard the water run, I got up and joined Ryder. After our shower, Ryder left to sort out gang business.

Five weeks later, everyone knows that me and Ryder are a couple. Me, Elizabeth, Holly and Abby hung out a lot more, we got even closer.

I am closer with Elizabeth though. Lately, I have been feeling off. I think that I was coming down with a fever. I decided that a hot bath would make me feel better, I climbed into the bath and Ryder walked in and sat down on the floor and we talked for a while.

I didn't tell him that I was feeling sick, I didn't want him to worry.

After I had finished getting washed, I climbed out of the tub and Ryder wrapped a bath robe over me and cuddled me. A couple seconds later, loud sirens began to Alarm. Ryder let go of me and he looked panicked. "Ryder, what is going on?" I asked.

"There's a gang, it's attacking us." He whispers. Ryder grabbed me, pushing me into the wardrobe. "Cass, stay in here. Don't come out until I get you."

He warned and shut the door on me. I was shaking so much, after that, I heard many gun shots. I sat there for an hour and I decided that enough was enough.

I kept ramming into the doors, trying to get them to open. After a few attempts, it finally worked. I ran out to see Alex on the floor, lifeless.

I screamed and ran over to him. I pulled him into my lap and I cried. I checked his pulse and much to my dismay, there wasn't one. He was only nineteen, two years younger than me. Who could have done such a thing?

I didn't know where Ryder was and I was terribly worried. I heard Ryder outside the door yelling for me and Alex. I got up and rushed over to him as he entered the room.

I didn't want him to see Alex, so, I tried to push him away. He saw Alex, and pushed me out the way and ran over to his body.

"No." he screamed. I felt the tears fall down my face, he was like a brother to me and he actually was Ryder's brother.
