Chapter Two: The Magical Animals

Dusk and Yvette kept going to the forest. They saw a pond. A pond with the most beautiful, sparkling water. It looked the most amazing. "That pond looks beautiful!" Yvette said.

"It does, but we're not here for sightseeing are we?" Dusk said.

They started to move again, then a noise from the pond came. They looked back, and saw a dolphin. As same as the other magical animals they saw, they also saw a rainbow aura around it.

"Hi. You're one of the magical animals as well right?" Yvette asked.

"Well, I am. But, also my friend is here to help you as well", the dolphin said with a playful smile.

Then, there was a seal that jumped out of water into land. It also had that rainbow aura. "Hiya!" the seal said happily.

"Aww, you guys are so cute!!" Yvette said.

"Yvette, we have a job", Dusk said.

"Oh yeah, so what can you tell us?" Yvette asked.

"A place full depth and despair. A place full of pain and sorrow. A place with the darkest forces. You will find surprises, and acceptance." the seal said.

"All you animals can just tell us riddles and senses?" Dusk asked.

"Well yes, we know a lot of things. But, we can only sense things in the Underworld", the dolphin said

"Hmm, surprises and acceptance. Wonders what that means", Yvette muttered.

"Huh?" Dusk said.

"Nothing", Yvette said quickly.

"More of our friends will help you", the seal said.

"Well thanks! For the help!" Yvette said thankfully.

"No prob!" they both said with a smile.

Then, Yvette and Dusk walked away as the animals dived back to their pond. "You know they barely helped us right?" Dusk said.

"Yeah, but it's better to have hints and help than nothing", Yvette said.

"We're almost near the Underworld, the portal is just a a couple steps away from us", Dusk said.

"Ok", Yvette said.

"We're almost out of the forest", Dusk said.

Then, an eagle swooped in and landed on a branch of a tree. "Why hello, are you the queens knights?" the eagle with a rainbow aura around him.

The eagle was probably a magical animal. "Why yes", Yvette said.

"Ooh, the queen did sent some knights", a voice said.

An owl stepped on a branch from the leaves that was hiding him. The owl was probably was a magical animal. The owl tilted it's head. "Yeah, pretty much owl", Dusk said.

"Well, can you help us?" Yvette asked.

"Heh, we will actually help unlike those useless animals you encountered", the eagle said.

"What did you say?" a stern familiar voice said.

A wolf jumped out from the bushes. A wolf they know last time. "Nothing", the eagle said.

"You really think that I didn't hear you? You called me and everyone useless!" the wolf snarled.

"Come on guys, don't fight!" the owl said.

"Useless?! Let's see who's useless when I tear you apart!!" the wolf snarled.

"Ha! You so called "magical" animals are useless, all you do is give hints and riddles. How is that gonna help the knights!" the eagle said.

"Uh guys, please don't start a fight", the owl said.

"Enough!" Yvette said as she pulled out her sword.

Silence came down on them.

"All of you are useless if you keep arguing!" Yvette said.

"Heh", Dusk chuckled as he looked at them.

"Now will you help us for reals!!" Yvette shouted.

"Yeah we will! But, we better get this settled", the owl said.

"Fine", the wolf and eagle said.

Yvette drew back her sword. "Now then, help us", she said.

The animals sighed. "I'll help you taking down Cerberus", the wolf said.

"At least someone at least offered to help us to fight something", Dusk said.

"I'll keep an eye for you humans. I'll fly over when you fight Cerberus, and I'll peck him hard down to help you", the eagle said.

"Well, I'll make him sleepy", the owl said.

"Wait, you can do that?" Dusk asked.

"Yeah, magical animals have special powers", the owl said.

"Like?" Dusk said.

"I have hypnotic powers, eagle has a beak that will feel like a hard metal thorn, the wolf has jaws and claws like titanium, the deer uses telepathy, the seal can run and swim really fast, and the dolphin can mimic accurately of anything", the owl explained.

"That's cool", Yvette said.

"Well, let's go to fight Cerberus!" Dusk said.

"Let's go!!" the owl said.

They walked to the direction of the portal of the Underworld.

Hey guys, another chapter of Darkest Of Nights. Oh yeah! My friend wanted me to show what Yvette looks like, sadly I do have an idea what Dusk looks like. BUT, I can't draw boys. :( So here she is:
