From City Wolf to Pack Wolf

Chapter 24

“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?” Jase yelled to my parents with his fist clenched and eyes jet black like I’ve never seen before. “WHY THE HELL DIDN’T YOU TELL US THIS BEFORE!?”

“We didn’t know how and we thought we could keep you all protected,” my mother answered him.

My parents just told us who took Tess. I was still in shock and didn’t say anything; I didn’t know what to say. I was pissed that they didn’t tell us; if we might be in danger we should know and not have to count on the pack to protect us.

“Jase we are still your parents you better watch how you speak to us,” my father said.

“REALLY THAN HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL US THIS!? YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BETTER IF WE DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT YOUR HALF BROTHER THAT WANTS TO HURT THIS FAMILY!” Jase yelled and pushed my father once again.

I could tell my father wanted to put Jase in his place for pushing and yelling at him but he couldn’t bring himself to do that since it is understandable why he is acting this way.

“Jase back off your father a little,” John said.

Jase turned to John, “I don’t care if you’re the Alpha do not tell me what to do with my family,” Jase said.

“Stop him Liz,” Jen whispered next to me.

I looked at her showing no emotions because truthfully I was pissed at our parents for keeping the biggest secret from us. Turns out my grandparents were killed by my grandfathers son that he kept a secret from us kids. Before my grandparents got together my grandfather dated a human. After he found my grandmother, his mate, he broke up with the human. A little after the break up she found out she was pregnant and told my grandfather. He tried everything to help her and stay in his sons life but the human couldn’t take it and left town with the child when he was about two. Now Kent, my grandfathers first son, blames my grandmother and father, that's why he killed my grandparents and he wants to hurt my father by hurting his children I guess.

“WHY THE HELL ARE WE STILL HERE WE NEED TO FIND TESS!” Jase yelled again.

“Look, like you said I am the Alpha you are part of my pack, you listen to me,” John said.

Jase looked at him, “I do not care who you are. I never wanted to be part of this stupid pack. My family was doing just fine before we came to this stupid town and joined your stupid pack,” Jase said walking slowly to John like he was about to attack.

That was my cue to jump in. I ran in front of Jase before he did something stupid. “Stop,” I told him.

“Move Liz,” he said trying to push me out of the way.

“You will regret anything you’re about to do Jase. I’m saving your ass now stop,” I told him.

“Seriously you’re taking their side after all the lies and danger they put us through,” he said.

“I’m not taking anyones side,” I told him. “I am pissed about what they did but you’re going about it all wrong.”

“I don’t care I just want Tess back and safe,” he said looking passed me like he was going to attack John again.

“Jase you’re being an idiot dude. Just stop and listen to my father he knows what he’s doing,” Dom said from across the kitchen.

Jase turned and he was about to wolf speed it to Dom and I saw his claws out. I didn’t know what to do but once again get in front of Jase. Before anyone knew it Jase swung his arm back and used his claws but instead of scratching Dom’s face he scratched mine since I got in the way. I fell to the ground with the force he put into it, he jumped back and Dom was at my side quickly.
