Chapter 8

Seth busted threw the door and Eric pulled out a gun and aimed it at me.

Seth's P.O.V

My heart ached in pain. I had a bad feeling about leaving Nicole. It was kinda like the feeling I had before I found her laying on the cold street, ground. I decided to go and check on her, but a car wouldn't be fast enough so I decided to go by paw. I changed into my wolf form and bolted towards the hospital. Once I got there I shift back. I put on my white boxers and then my brown shorts. I heard Nicole scream, so I ran inside with no shirt. The nurse was talking to her. When she said her abusive father was in there something in my body snapped. I ran up to the door and tor off the hinges. I got in the room and saw Nicole bleeding. Her father pulled out a gun and aimed it towards her.

"Hey, lets be rational. You don't want to shoot Nicole, shoot me." I pleaded

Before I could say anything else Boom! The gun went off and hit her right below the shoulder. She screamed so loud it broke my heart before I could even think I was running toward her father. We were on the ground fighting for the gun it was right in between us when all of a sudden, it went off. That sound rang throughout the hospital. I didn't feel any pain. I got up blood was oozing from Her fathers body. He was shot right in the heart. I was sort of happy and relieved that he won't be alive to hurt Nicole anymore is that bad to feel? Dr. Cullen went over to Nicole and told her to breath she was losing a lot of blood. They got a stretcher and wheeled her to surgery. I just stood there in shock. What are they going to do with Nicole now she is a minor.

Nicole p.o.v

"Seth came in the door and then told my dad to be rational. Eric shot me and Seth wrestled him to the ground. The gun went off and shot Eric. I think that is what happened?" I told Carlisle as he asked me to tell him what happened.

Seth was right next to me holding my hand. "What is going to happen to me Carlisle? Where will I go?"

"I don't know yet....... I will try to let you know than." He said in a not so reassuring voice.

"Just give it to me straight Carlisle, you know I am going to end up in foster care don't you." I yelled a little bit.

Carlisle signed and walked out. I started crying and Seth was telling me it's ok and he would figure something out.

Carlisle p.o.v

I felt really bad for Nicole. I wish I would have known what had been happening to her. I am a vampire for crying out loud, how I could I not know. When she asked me where she was going to go I didn't know what do say. I mean it's not like she can live with vampires. Although I have a feeling she knows that we are vampires. I don't know I am going to call Esme and see if she thinks it is a good idea. The phone started ringing and then she picked up
(Bold Esme and normal Carlisle)

Esme I have a question

What is it, is everything ok? How is Nicole

Nicole is ok and everything is fine. I was wondering do you think it would be a good idea to adopt Nicole?

Of course it would be great to have her here with us. I know we are vampires and all, but she is a smart girl I am sure she figured it out already. She probably would of ran away by now if she was afraid of us Carlisle.

I know your right. It's just I feel really bad for what she is been through and I am not sure if it would be a good idea. Nicole already didn't have the best life I don't know if it would be the best idea if she got mixed up in this crazy mess of vampires.

Carlisle it will be ok I am sure you will figure out what is best. Love you bye Carlisle.

Then they hung up and that was the end of the conversation.

I went to my office and thought long and hard. I felt finally made a decision.

Nicole's p.o.v

Carlisle walked out after I said that. Seth stayed with me the whole day and we talked. We talked for hours and I started to like him more than a friend. Carlisle came in the room with a huge smile on his face. "Guess what!" He said with that huge smile.

"Yes." I answered unsure what was going to happen next.

"What would you say if I asked you to live with us?" Carlisle asked me smiling.

"Yes, of course I would love to thank you for asking me." I smiled at him.

"Ok, great bye!" Carlisle answered leaving.

I got tired and fell asleep and had a peaceful dream.
