Chap. 7- New Friends

"What to wear" I yelled throwing stuff across my room. I literally have nothing to wear. I finally found something to wear. I grabbed my phone calling Rakim on FaceTime.

"Hello" he said in the sleepy voice. Damn he sound fine asf. He was still in bed

"Boy wake up. It's 6:50. School starts at 7:30"

"I don't think I can come today"

"So you're just gonna leave me." I said sounding disappointed

"It's not like that. You act like you don't have Nova. Imma be there Tuesday. I promise" he said looking at me

I just hanged up on him and did my make-up. I am not going to waste my time begging someone to hang out with me at school. I am Ka'Mya King. Kings don't beg people to hang out with them . I quickly did my makeup making sure to put some highlight. I walked downstairs with my school backpack and phone in my hand. My phone was blowing up letting me know someone was texting me. But I just simply ignored it. I walked in the kitchen seeing no one was up.So I just took a banana and left the house. While driving I was thinking about my life. I started praying asking god to make today a memorable day. I was walking up the step but was soon stopped by Logan.

"Wait up Sourpatch" I heard. But I kept walking. I use to find the nickname adorable and sweet. But know it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth

"Ka'Mya wait" He said grabbing my arm

"What do you want Logan" I said with so much attitude

"Damn what did I do to you. I have been texting you all morning . Like what's going on with you. I thought I was suppose to come pick you up today. "

"Well change of plans. You don't' have to be my chauffeur. Your job is done. " I said  trying to continue walking but he grabbed my arm again

"What have I done"

"Well remember when you called me. You forgot to tell your girl in the background to quiet do. "

"What wrong with that. She is not my girl. "

"I don't want a boy driving me around when he has a girl or a hoe . Thats real disrespectful. When you have a girl you can't be entertain other people. You asked me on a date knowing damn will you talking to someone. I will not be someone's side chick. I will not let you keep flirting with me . Knowing you have a girl . " I said ignoring the fact that he said he has no girl

"Ok I understand. But lets just be friends. You cool asf. I don't want to stop talking to you especially because we have a project to do together " He said looking sad . But he fixed his bed now he has to lay on it.

"Ya sure thing. You can come over tonight because I want to finish this project to- " I was rudely interrupt by his girlfriend. She was one of the girls that was with Nova in the carnival last night. She was really pretty. She was thick asf. She tried kissing him but he tried his face around. So her lips landed on his cheeks.

"Who's our friend" she said while mugging me . From the corner of my eyes. I see Nova starting at us . But stayed where she was acting like she don't know me.

"Her name is Ka'mya" he said looking around . Trying hard not to looked at me.

"Well Keyshia. This is my boyfriend. Just letting you know cause I will not hesitate to beat your ass" she said while flipping her stiff weave.

"My name is Ka'mya . And don't get it twisted I am that girl that will gladly drag your ass all over the hallway . Don't play with me. I do not want your man. But before you start claiming him as your boyfriend. Just know that your boyfriend wasn't claiming you a minute again. Also I am a hair stylist . I will glady do your hair. Have a nice blessed day" I said leaving both of them looking stupid. I couldn't help but to see Nova lowkey smiling. But I just walked past her. Today is going to be a weird day. As I was walking. I bumped into someone landing on my ass.
