This 4 Year Old Made My Day

I volunteer in a preschool (in case you didn't know) and there's this girl, let's call her Julie, and she's really loud and brutally honest. (She's 4. Don't be mean to the precious munchkin.)

Anyway, so we sing this song to welcome the kids and a part of it goes, "We welcome you! Boys and girls!" And when it says "boys" the song pauses and the boys wave hello. And when the song says "girls" it pauses and the girls wave hello.

So I only wave on the girl part (cuz I'm a lady duh) to not confuse the boys. Julie was sitting next to me, and the "girl" part came on and paused, so me, Julie, and the other girls start to wave hello. Julie turns to me and says,"You're not a girl!".

I just stood there laughing (along with some other people who work with me) and then told her "No, I am a girl.". I don't think she heard me say that but whatever xD.

Let's just say I spent the next five minutes contemplating my gender.

(Yup I'm definitely a female.)
