It was 4am when I woke up to the sound of police sirens. The blue and red lights flickered in my window-It nearly blinded me as I looked out. Two cars had met each other and crashed, apparently. I threw on my shirt and ran outside to the police officers. "What happened?!" I asked in shock, not meaning to scream. The police man jumped and turned to me. "Kiddo, there was a wreck." I jumped up and down as I spoke. "Who was in it??" I sounded eager, but in reality, I was scared to death. "We don't know the ambulance-" Ambulance sirens alarmed me. "There they are." The doctors ran out as the police officers gathered around and got out the victims. 2 men, 1 woman, and one kid that looked super familiar. I remembered who they were and tears rolled down my cheeks. Wesley. Wesley was in the wreck with his mother and father. I couldn't control my tears and ran back inside, flipping back onto my bed and crying myself to sleep once again.
I woke up at 11:30am this time. I turned on the news and the wreck was the top story. I sighed. What would Tiff do about this? Then I heard these words:"The adults are all pronounced dead, but the child is alive but not doing well." YES!!! Wait, should I be excited or not? I shook my head and ran outside to visit the hospital. To see Wesley. To see my best friend's boyfriend.
I arrived there shortly and got into his room. His face was all scarred up and his left eye was missing. I guess he lost his eye in the wreck. His legs had deep cuts in them and he had red markings all over him. God, I never felt so bad for him. "Hey, Bruiser." He looked up at me and smiled weakly. Good, he was doing well. I hope. "Hi." I said, sitting down next to him. "You probably noticed my eye, how it's missing." I nodded. He sighed. "Yeah, I'll need a glass eye." I smiled at him again and he sighed. "I'll be judged..." I shook my head with disagreement. "No you won't. You'll be the same. You're amazing." Wesley weakly smiled again, yet his dimples were showing proudly. "Are you gonna make it?" I asked, then getting nervous when his smile faded quickly. He shook his head. "I don't know, Bruiser. They found a tumor in my brain, and it's bad too." I saw his eyes get watery. Mine done the same. "Oh my god, Wes," I sniffed "I'm so sorry." Wes began bawling and it broke my heart even more. He knew he was going to die. His fear was dying in pain. He wanted to die peacefully, and not in misery. Once he calmed down he let out a quivering sigh. "Keep Tiffany sane when I leave. She means the Earth to me and I'd go through heaven and hell just to make her happy. Please, Bruiser." I nodded, wiping my eyes and mouthed "Okay" because nothing could come out of my mouth. I left around 4:00pm (I spent the whole day at the hospital with Wes until he started having a seizure) and started home. I walked inside my house, and found Tiffany crying over the sink. "T-Tiff?" I whispered. She turned her tear stained face to me. I walked over to her slowly. Her arms were covered with cuts and the inside of my sink was filled with her blood.
