[ A/N: God, I've had this idea on my mind for a long time but couldn't find a way to add it until now T^T That being said, it's been so long I'm afraid I may have forgotten some ideas... I should write them down a lot more often... Anyways, there will be a "♫" symbol for when the music should start. Enjoy the chapter~ ^^ ]

Yuki had a special surprise planned for you today. The two of you stayed out late last night and you were already asleep by the time Yuki brought you back home. He was certain that you wouldn't wake up until mid-day at most. The weekend had just begun and he was going to make sure it didn't go wasted.

Yuki didn't know why he was so determined to make you happy. Perhaps it was because your smiles, when genuine, made his heart jump in his chest. Or maybe it was because your laugh made things feel like they would be just fine. He couldn't fathom why you can't see in yourself the beauty he saw in you. The thought of that rare, genuine happiness you had shown him so long ago was enough to make his heart swell even now. He cared deeply for you.

Everything had been packed and ready. Yuki silently slipped into your room, kneeling beside your bed so that he was eye level with you. Your face was peaceful, your breathing gentle as cascading strands of your hair framed your face perfectly. He had never seen you this calm. A small smile graced his lips as he wondered what you could have possibly been dreaming about. He gingerly tucked the loose strands behind your ear and you stirred at his touch.

Your soft, [e/c] eyes fluttered open tiredly. Yuki's face slowly came into focus and you immediately jumped upright, scooting back and pulling your covers closer to you. A heavy blush dusted your cheeks, "Y-y-Yuki..!" You stuttered, embarrassed of what you might have done in your sleep, "How... h-how long...?"

Yuki jumped in realization, a pink blush dusting his cheeks, "Oh! Um... n-not long...!" he stuttered, chuckling sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck. You nodded, awkwardly avoiding eye contact, "U-um..." Yuki stood up and held your hand in his. "I want to take you somewhere today," he announced, giving you a close-eyed smile. You were gently pulled out of bed and given time to get dressed before following him out of the house. The sun was high in the sky and you took a moment to shield your eyes from the light.

Yuki placed a closed picnic basket in the front basket of his bike and motioned for you to sit in the back. You looked at the seat nervously, hesitating lightly as you bit your lip. Swallowing your paranoia, you gingerly got into the seat, you legs hanging on one side. Yuki shifted to get the bike upright, the sudden motion causing you to squeak and wrap your arms around is waist tightly. Yuki looked back to see you burying your face in his back, the adorable sight causing him to chuckle lightly. "Don't worry, I'll keep you safe," he smiled before taking off, heading away from the city and into the rural outskirts.

You watched the scenery as it passed you. Square buildings and asphalt roads became less frequent, being replaced with rolling green hills, clear blue skies, and fluffy white clouds. The air became clearer, and you could breath easier. Telephone wires followed the two of you as you went, curving and dipping down and up, occasionally housing a bird or two. The wind blew against your sundress and your hair flowed gently against the breeze. The scene was relaxing. You closed your eyes, leaning your head against Yuki's back and enjoying the feeling of calmness washing over you as you closed your eyes to rest a bit.

When you awoke, Yuki had stopped his bike. He hopped off and helped you do the same before grabbing the basket from the front of his bike. The bike was parked at the edge of a forest that seemed to stretch endlessly on both sides. Yuki took your hand with his free one, leading you inside. There was no path but he seemed to know his way, twisting through trees and noticing markers that you couldn't identify. Streams of light shined [shone?] through the leaves of the trees, playing off of Yuki's back as you followed closely behind him.

Eventually you both came to a small clearing, where the shadows of the trees could not reach. The grass was soft and the sun shined through the opening on top, a smaller tree sat near the center. Yuki set down a picnic blanket beside the tree and you sat down next to him. From the basket, he pulled out two bentos and handed one to you.

The lunch box was filled with rice cakes, sushi and other foods oriented to the best of his ability. They weren't perfect but you were near dumbfounded by how much effort he had out in. Just for you...? Your cheeks turned a light pink, your gaze being met with his once you lifted your eyes from the box. "Do you like it?" He chirped. "Y-yes... thank you..." you smiled softly before the two of you began to eat. The meal was nice though it somehow felt better because you were in the presence of each other. You ate slower than Yuki due to your general lack of appetite but joined him under the shade of the center tree once you were done.

There was silence between you two for a while, a comfortable one. Yuki had his arms crossed, supporting the back of his head with his eyes closed, listening to the chirping of birds and rustling of the wind against the tree's fragile branches. The world seemed at peace.

A small question was tugging at the back of your mind and it finally struck you now, "Why did you bring me here...?" You blurred out before you could stop yourself. 'Oh dear, I probably sounded rude...' you scolded yourself, however, Yuki seemed to have been expecting that question. "It's calming, isn't it?" He murmured happily, his warm blue [ fuk it, I'm saying they're blue because I can't remember ;-; ] eyes fluttering open and locking with your [E/C] ones in a gentle way. You nodded in response, expecting him to continue. There was a silence before he spoke again.

"Me and my family... We used to visit this spot all the time when I was a kid," he started, staring out at the grassy field as if the memory were paying right before his eyes. "I ran around, playing tag with my brothers and climbing this tree for the fruits it bore in the Spring. I had a lot of happy memories here, I thought..." he seemed to hesitate, "I thought maybe it would help you make some." An embarrassed chuckle followed and Yuki scratched the back of his head nervously. "It makes less sense when I say it out loud-" "No, I understand." You suddenly interrupted him. "This is a beautiful place..."

Yuki looked down at you, a grateful smile gracing his lips, "Thanks, [Y/N]..."
