[ A/N: I haven't been... doing that well and needed a little comfort, so enjoy~ ]

You and Yuki stayed under the center tree until nightfall, him telling you stories about his childhood and all the trouble he got into with his brothers. Once cricket chirps could be heard, Yuki got up and sat down on the tall grass, his arms propped behind him. He beckoned you next to him with a pat. You complied, sitting with your legs hugged against your chest. You leaned your head against his shoulder, blushing when you felt him lean back with a light cuddle.'Whatamidoing,Whatamidoing,Whatamidoing?'

Yuki's breathing was calm and his body felt warm against the cooling night time. You dared to shuffle a little closer, thankful that he didn't seem to mind. 'He's so warm and cuddly...' you face began to heat up at the thought but you quickly mentally slapped yourself.

Small lights began to flicker around you and you jumped lightly, shifting closer to Yuki. His attention turned from the stars to you, "What is it?" He chuckled and you gestured to the soft glowing lights that surrounded the two of you. "Th-those..." you muttered, [E/C] eyes focused on them as they moved. Yuki laughed, "Those are fireflies," he explained, "you've never seen one?" You shook your head. You've heard of them, but had never seen them. They were in the fairytale books that your mother claimed were pointless and forbade you from reading.

A slight mischievous smirk played on his lips and he caught one in his hands. Your eyes filled with terror as he got closer to you, "Yuki... no...!" You quickly got up and ran as he chased you around the field, the firefly still trapped in his hand. "What's wrong? Are you scared~?" He teased, holding out his hand. For a while, you ran through the forest that surrounded the opening. The two of you weaved through trees and branches as Yuki tried to catch up with you. But you were quick, managing to slip away from his grip every time. Your worries were forgotten in that moment.

Eventually you grew tired, collapsing into your knees in the same spot you had started in. Yuki sat down beside you, panting just as hard. You head tilted sideways to look at him through the loose strands of your hair and he looked back. You eyes locked and you both began to laugh. The melodic chime in your voice made Yuki's heart flutter. He felt a warm feeling in his chest every time he was able to make you so genuinely happy.

Once you both had been given a moment to catch your breath, Yuki caught another firefly. You sat in front of him as he slowly opened his hand. The firefly slowly floated out of his hand. Yuki watched as you stared at it nervously, it's glow reflecting in your soft eyes. He wrapped his hand around yours, squeezing lightly to comfort you, and breathing out a light laugh as he saw how adorably flustered you got. "Don't worry, they won't hurt you," he reassured with a contagious bright smile.

Yuki suddenly leaned backwards, his back landing in the soft grass as you followed. He stared up at the large array of bright stars that dusted the night sky, compelling you to do the same. "The grass is so comfortable~" he sighed happily, closing his eyes for a moment to enjoy the calmness. His arm extended upwards toward the sky and he began to point out the constellations he could identify, telling you that he used to stargaze though is father's telescope. Everything he knew about stars and outer space was from him.

You listened closely to his voice, noticing how nice it felt just to hear it. It calmed your mind and made you feel at ease every time he spoke to you. A similar warm feeling rose in your chest. After he was done identifying all that he could, a random question popped into your mind. "Do you dream, Yuki?" You muttered softly, curious about the experience. Yuki nodded, his eyes still fixed on the stars. "Of course, all the time," he chirped, "They're all weird~" He then began to tell you about all sorts of crazy dreams he's had. Some where bizarre while others made little to no sense. But the way he told them to you made you laugh.

You were surprised at how much he could recall of his odd dreams but intrigued non-the-less. You listened to every word he spoke until your eyelids grew heavy and sleep tugged at the edge of your mind. Eventually you dozed near the end of one if his stories, recalling something about a giant dog attacking a city.

When Yuki finally turned to face you, you were sound asleep. Your lips were parted slightly and your breathing was so soft, he could barely see the gentle rise and fall of your chest. Admittedly, Yuki had the urge to kiss you as he stared at your lips. But it would be wrong to do so without your consent. Instead, he tucked the loose strands of your hair behind your ear and gently caressed you cheek with his palm. "Sweet dreams, [Y/N]..." he muttered softly.

"I love you..."
