Chapter 9

Jake's POV

I've been running for about an hour and I don't know where I am, and I don't really know how to get back to the hospital.

But I just can't bare looking at the girl I love and knowing she won't ever love me back.

I fucked up, big time.

I just sat down on the curb to catch my breath. After about 10 minutes I was approached by an old lady, and just sat next to me.

"Uh, can I help you Ma'am?" I asked

She just looked at me and smiled

"Ma'am can you please tell me why you are sitting next to me?" I asked again

"You looked like you could use a friend" She said.

"I'm fine, thank you" I said harshly

This whole Renee thing is really upsetting me, and I took it out on a pour old lady.

"I'm sorry" I told her, while looking at my feet.

"What's her name?" She asked bluntly

I brought my head up and looked at her with shock.

"You heard me what's her name?" She repeated

"Renee" I said.

"What did she do to you?" She asked

"She didn't do anything but fall for the guy of her dreams. And I crushed the girl of my dreams."

I didn't realize I was crying until she started patting my back. And my head was in my lap.

"Do you love her?"

"Of course I love her! I always will" I raised my voice.

"Then fight for her." Just as the lady said that she got up and walked away.

'Fight for her' 'FIGHT FOR HER' Kept playing in my head like someone hitting replay.

I got up and ran, I really didn't remember which way I came but I just started running, I'll have to find it someplace.
