Trigger Warning: Parent stuff, bad writing.

~Evan' POV~

What. No, no, no, no... What was my so called father calling for?! And why did my mom answer?? What?!

I was so confused and carried away in my thoughts that I didn't notice that someone was behind me. Once I snapped back into reality, I turned around to find Connor looking down at me.

"Um... Are you, okay?" Connor asked, with a little concern in his voice.
"Oh, y-yeah... I-I'm fine.... I think." I said, not sure of what to say.

"Evan. I think it might be time to leave. I'll explain when we get home." My mom said, entering the house, probably to inform Mrs. Murphy that we were leaving. I just sat there silent, thinking of what was happening. That's when I heard a cough behind me, startling me in the process.

"So, uh... I guess I'll see you at school? Or I'll text you, or something." Connor said, though it sounded more like a question than anything else.

"Uhh, y-yeah... S-see ya..." I say trying not to stutter, and failing. I see my mother walk out and start to walk towards the car. I began to walk towards the car as well. I got inside and looked out the window. I see Connor wave to me, and I surprisingly waved back.

"So, Evan, I see you made a friend." My mom said, looking out to the road. "Oh, um... Yeah, I guess I did." I state, realizing I made a good friend for once.

.:Le' Time Skip:.

~Still Evan's POV~

"WHAT?!" I yelled.

So, apparently, my so called father is going to come back. Why did my mom allow him to come back?! He left us, that's on him. If he's going through trouble, he should be able to do it himself. My mom shouldn't have to pity him. And she doesn't deserve to go through this. I know for a fact that he is going to just stab us in the back the moment he starts staying here.

"I know, I know Evan, but he is going through some hard times," My mom said, with sympathy. "Wouldn't you want me to do the same for you if you went through something like this?"

"..." I sigh, knowing that I would. But still, I wouldn't just leave my mom like the way he did. (Oh the irony)

"That's what I thought. Now, we should probably get ready for your father to come." Mom said, as I except defeat in trying to talk her out of this.

This is going to be a long year.

Hey guys. Yeah, sorry for the long wait on this chapter, I had to get my grades up, and with that, had no time to work on this. And sorry it was such a short chapter. But I hope you liked it. Also, I'm just making up the plot as I go along. So if it doesn't make sense in certain places, that's because I'm confused, and bad at writing. Apologies again. But yeah, hope you all have a great day! :D
