Taking a cab was probably not the wisest of decisions. The traffic was merciless as always and honking in the background just accumulated a potential migraine.

"Here is fine thank you." I pointed to the urban house just a little down the street. I couldn't not think of what I will see once I step inside. Has anything changed? Has he changed?

I took slow and steady steps fighting my unsettling nerves that worked their way into my bloodstream. Why did I feel anxious? It's not like I've vanished into thin air with no explanation what so ever. Because technically I didn't. I died. Then I came back to life.
That made me half a God apparently, and possibly half a Vampyr too.

I lift my knuckles and knock a few times, gulping saliva because that was the only substance stopping me from throwing up.

"I want to know when can I get the papers filed!" A voice yelled and I entered the house, uninvited.

The noise was coming from the kitchen and I silently let myself wonder towards it. Then I met his eyes.

"Hi." I whisper, trying to predict his next actions but ending empty handed.

"Alexia?"

"Hi dad."

Then I felt myself being enveloped in a tight embrace. Honestly it has been so long since I've last been hugged. It also made my heart ache. Almost because I couldn't forgive him.

Letting a few seconds trail I push him back, displaying a glare.
"Do you know how much I despise of you?" Old Vamp looked taken back, his eyes silently questioning.

"My whole life was a lie. I was raised by a Moon Goddess and the oldest vampire to walk the Earth and I didn't have a single clue of it!" My frustration echoed into the falls and it was hard to breathe. In times like these it always was. Ambrogoi looked apologetic but I would not buy the bullshit.

"Your existence could have traumatised the whole world? It was for your safety." My father said to me and I find myself laughing humourlessly.

"For my safety or for yours?" I ponder smiling as I take a step back and reach for the door. It was a big mistake coming here.

"Your mother and I, have done everything to protect you. You do not wish to find out what Gaia would have if your existence was discovered. Please." I turn back, a curse tingling on the tip of my tongue. So I've simply stared at him, waiting or even hoping that something more comforting will flare through.

"It was dangerous as it is, knowing that werewolves Selene ruled over were bound to neglect vampyrs. Something that I have became many decades ago. But then... we formed you. Our weapon, to end this imbalance." Ambrogoi saw the change in my expression, and foolishly assumed it was for the better result. It obviously wasn't.

"So that's what I am? A peace treaty for blood suckers and a bunch of dogs?" The carved out answer reeked of poison and hatred. You would think we weren't even related with this new anger surfacing to the exterior .

"What I mean is-"

"So what do you expect me to do? Sacrifice myself? To actually die in order to solve something I was never supposed to?" I snapped, all muscles tensed up. If he thought I was obedient, he didn't really know me.
