Song: Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Lorde (PLEASE LISTEN TO THE SONG I THINK IT SUITS THIS CHAPTER AND THE MESSAGE BEHIND IT SO WELL WITH THE STORY!)

~They all just want to feel some love.~

I was stunned at my new gained ability to even hear the fight that broke through between the two members of our team.

Melinoe and Athena were continuously forcing water currents at each, trying to drown one another in blast of anger.

"You let Tyche get caught! It's your fault!" Melinoe screamed thrusting her hand towards Athena's face. The Goddess responded by dragging Melinoe under water as that disappeared under it.

Dysnomia struggled to pull the two apart as they fought each other. I moved towards the two and dragged Melinoe away, she almost slipped my grip, fighting both my arms and tears that fell from the corner of her eyes.
Athena panted with narrowed eyes but said nothing.

"We need to get going. We cannot waste anymore time." She affirmed swimming further into the lake. I watched as strange fog emerged from the shore; it was everywhere covering our view of the pathway ahead.

"Is this the Damned lake?" I asked clumping a hand over my mouth as my voice echoed loudly into the area. Athena nodded her head her eyes narrowing to slits as she attempted to see through the grey clouds that slowly creeped upon us.

"They say it's damned for a reason. Anyone that swam across the lake never reached the shore." Athena explained taking the leading role and proceeding forward, slightly more ahead of us.

"Why?" I whispered quietly. This time my voice didn't travel through the area, but this made me just even more so alert of my surroundings.

"The Sirens. Their songs put under compulsion anyone that hears them, we need to be careful. Be on a watch out." Melinoe offered taking a spot next to Athena who didn't look back, her lips were drawn into a thin line, still upset with what happened to Tyche. I could only hope the Goddess was alright.

"Didn't you say your mother has control over them? Didn't you just say we are going to be safe!?" Athena exclaimed rising her voice to a higher pitch, anger consuming the blonde female.

Melinoe returned a frustrated eye roll. "Sirens used to be my mother's companions, she went missing once and my grandma cursed these mermaids for they failed to locate my mother's whereabouts."

"And where did your mother go?" Dysnomia asked curiously as I tried my hardest to not interfere between the two pissed off Goddesses' battle.

"The Underworld." Melinoe deadpanned with a harsh gaze. Her hand movements were more aggressive now that she felt feed up with Athena's attitude.

"Wait, your mother is Persephone?" My voice echoed once again. The two Goddesses at the front turned sharply.

"You couldn't refrain yourself from saying the name!? What if they heard us? We need to get out of here!"  Melinoe kept scanning the waters as if something would burst from the surface and end us instantly.

Until a soft hummed sound reached my ears.

I looked around at the weirdly alluring sound. It was almost like a melody; one that I wanted to listen to without stopping.

I saw one head pull up from the water, but it didn't belong to Athena or Melinoe. It was a girl with bright golden hair, she had clear blue eyes that smiled at me.

"ARTEMIS!" I heard somewhere in the background but nothing mattered as the girl opened her mouth and started a single melody.

"Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep." Her voice was deep but soft. There was a shriek from one of the Goddesses.
